Tin Cash Box CB5
Original, quality, late 19th century, small tin cash box in the form of a miniature tin travelling trunk. The original scrumbled bright orange / tan coloured paintwork has been retained to the outside, although a faded on the top. The interior is in Japanned black and originally had a lift out tray fitted. The brass mortice lock is stamped "Patent Lever" inside and out and "London", a replacement key has been cut to suit. The cast brass carry handle to the top is rather decorative, but also does the job well. A most unusual cash box, complete and in good and working order, with just the lift out tray missing. The brass has been polished and lacquered.

Original, quality late 19th century cast brass drop ring handle originally from a strongroom door, now converted for use as a door pull or turning handle. The circular brass backplate is a replacement made to suit as is the threaded square bar which will fit a standard mortice or rim lock or latch. All is complete and in good and working order.

Backplate 3.25" diam.

Handle 4.5" wide x 3.5" tall.

Original, quality late 19th century fireproof safe brass professionally sand blasted and stove enamelled black to the exterior with the original paintwork to the inside, all the original brass fittings and two keys for the door and one each for the inner drawers. The original transfer to the reverse of the door is mind blowing in condition and quality and this safe is far heavier than average for its size. The brass maker's plate to the door is embossed "Milners Patent Improved, Fire Resisting & Strong Holdfast Safe" and the keyhole cover "Milners Safe, Powderproof, Solid Lock, Liverpool & London". All has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order.

Interior 18" tall x 12" wide plus 13" front to back, including drawers.

Exterior 26" tall x 20" wide plus 20" front to back.

Original, quality fireproof safe circa 1900, in the original paintwork to both the interior and exterior. The brass fittings are all original, and it comes with two keys for the door and two keys for the inner drawer. The brass maker's plate to the door is embossed "Whitfield's Safe & Door Co Ltd, London & Birmingham" and the same is transfer printed to the reverse of the door. All has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order.

Interior 14" tall over drawer x 12" wide plus 10" front to back.

This superby detailed plate, the first we have seen, is in a vertical rectangular shape with an arched top and a figure of a craftsman with his tools and "Trade Mark" within. The following information is embossed for the safe maker "James Felton Elwell Birmingham", Improved Patent Steel Intersected Fire & Buglar Proof Safe manufacturer at the Vulcan Works, Established 1855. All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good order.
