Original, quality late 19th century all brass large hat and coat hook. This super example has a cushion design to the stem, large ribbed finials to the ends and a fabulous beaded gent's face to the front of the backplate. The face has the appearance of a Viking Warrior or a Pirate with a hat. The backplate has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and the reverse, a registration lozenge mark and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality mid to late 19th century very decorative and very heavy cast iron hat and coat hooks probably continental. The backplate has four screw holes for mounting and a deep relief detail of flowers and swags and the hook itself is a design of acanthus leaves with a leopard head on the top. All has been cleaned and lacquered and are complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century continental, cast brass wall mounted triple branch hat and coat hook. This interesting pair of coathooks have a mythical winged creature with a forked tail ( the lower pair of coathooks) and long tongue ( the single hat peg at the top ). All is mounted on a cast brass backplate also depicting two further mythical creatures and with two countersunk screw holes for mounting. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

The main theme of the detail is a bearded man between a pair of mythical serpents decorated with acanthus leaves. The backplates have three large countersunk screw holes each, for mounting and all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, pair of late 19th century, probably continental, cast brass candle wall brackets. This super pair have "Gothic" dragons supporting the candle sconces. The back plates are decorated with leaves and each have one screw hole and a fixed plate for mounting, permitting the Dragons to swivel left or right. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer can be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality near pair of late century brass door porters in the form of a cherub version of "Diana the Huntress". These are depicted with wings and a bow in one hand stood atop a pedestal, all in brass with a cast iron counterbalance weight to the base. No maker's marks but complete and in good order with the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the cast iron cleaned and lacquered.

Original, quality late 19th century cast iron door porter / doorstop in the very detailed form of two stylised entwining fish on a base of seashells with a ring handgrip to the top also decorated with shells. The reverse is impressed with '370' in script for the model number. This example is illustrated in the 1876 Catalogue for A Kenrick and Sons of West Bromwich but the model number is referred to as '470'. All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order.

Pair of original, quality late 19th century cast brass door porters with semi circular bases and plinths with a detailed figure of the 'Lincoln Imp' sat upon the upright stem. These are first of these porters we have seen.

WT&S Wall Mounted Dinner Gong G175
Original, quality late 19th century wall mounted dinner gong manufactured by W. Tonks & Son of Birmingham. This serious gong in the original finish has a pale oak backboard simulating the castellated top of a building with a bronze / brass "Mythical Beast" mounted to the centre to support the circular brass gong with the original beater in a matching colour finish mounted below. We believe this design was heavily influenced by the stone water overflow gargoyle / spouts taking the roof water out and away from the outer walls of "The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. These gongs may even have been made by this Birmingham Maker to celebrate or commemorate an event relating to The Notre Dame Cathedral. All is original with just the cord and the head of the beater being replaced and all is complete and in good and working order with a super loud tone and resonance.

This super pair have the original backplates, each with three countersunk screw holes for mounting and drip pans beneath the candle holders. The brackets will lift out of the backplates and when fitted in, they are movable side to side but not far enough back to burn the wood of the piano. The reverse of the backplates has the registration number for the year 1892. All has been polished and lacquered. although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Fully overhauled and are complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality Hallmarked silver presentation spoon in the original blue silk and velvet lined box with a "leather paper" covering. The silver spoon, the size of a breakfast cereal spoon, has embossed detail of "Lincoln Cathedral " to the bowl, with the Lincoln Imp sat at the base of the decorated stem and an enamelled coat of arms for Lincoln to the top. The reverse has the silver hallmark and a registration number for the year 1901. All is in super condition.

Original, quality late 19th century stunning brass wall household thermometer manufactured by William Tonks & Son of Birmingham. This example the first we have seen of this model, has the glass thermometer mounted on a sheet brass background decorated with cast brass detail of acanthus leaves, swags and the head of Medusa to the top. The face is calibrated in Farenheight 30 to 120 degrees showing Freezing, Temperate, Summer Heat and Blood Heat. The reverse has a wall mounting eye and is impressed with the registration number for the year 1894 and impressed with the sun logo and "WT&S" for the manufacturer 'William Tonks & Son'. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. The best you will see for a long time.

Original, quality pair of superb late 19th century silver plated on cast brass electric wall lights in the form of cherubs, each holding a pair of torch like candlelights. These were originally gas and are now been converted to electricity. The torch handles are simulating acanthus leaves as are the mounts supporting the bodies and the circular backplates each have three screw holes for mounting. Wired with modern three core flex and new brass UK bulb holders, fully overhauled and polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. A fantastic pair of lights.
