Large Nickel Plated Tray T116
Large Nickel Plated Tray T116
Original, quality 1920's, large silver or nickel plated tea / drinks tray in the Arts and Crafts style. This example is stamped to the reverse for the manufacturer "James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield" and engraved to the front centre "Presented to Hilton Grundy Esq. As a token of esteem from his old boys Oct 1923." The exaggerated shape has a pie crust rim, two handgrip recesses and an overall chiselled decoration. The plating is rubbed in places but not badly and the underside has not been cleaned or polished. A stunning tray, in good working order.

Perry and Son Brass Hot Water Can WC56
Original, quality late 19th century brass hot water can of an unusual aesthetic movement style with a certain resemblance to the designs of Dr Christopher Dresser. This clean example has a tinned interior, the original black ceramic knob to the lid, an exaggerated tubular brass looped handle over the top and a square tubed pouring spout. The underside is impressed for the maker "R.Perry Son & Co of Wolverhampton" and with the knotted rope logo, this company certainly manufactured some designs from Dr C. Dresser but I have not found any identical water can references, as yet. Some very minor metal fatigue but all complete and in good and working order otherwise. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Will hold water if required for use.

10.25" tall. 4.5" wide.

11.5" including handle and spout.
