Original, quality late 19th century blacksmith made wrought iron garden gate with eyes to hang on gate pins and the original working latch. The end bars each have curled in top decoration and spear heads to each of the nine inner rails. The lower half of the gate has had alterations and some welding, but otherwise all was originally forge worked by the blacksmith. All is in old black gloss paint and would benefit with a clean and repaint. A good heavy gate, generally in good order and complete. 50.5" tall and 39.5" wide including eyes and latch 3".

Original, quality mid to late 19th century large oval ceramic meat platter in a "flow blue" colour on white. This super example has a design of cameos around the wide rim, each alternating one bird panel and one floral and the centre has a picture of a large "Highland Cattle Bull". The detail is a little blurred due to the "flow blue" effect, but all is perfect with no chips, cracks or blemishes otherwise. The underside has a manufacturers logo, also difficult to read (see picture). Complete and in good order. 19.25" x 16" x 2".

Original, quality, 19th century blacksmith made wrought iron mancur scale with a crescent shaped brass dial, calibrated on both sides. These scales were used to weigh wool in sacks, after shearing the sheep. The small hook and suspension ring are used to weigh up to 55lb in 5lb divisions, and the larger hook and ring would weigh from 20lb to 300lb in 20lb divisions. All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. 12" x 4" x 1".

Sheep Clucket Bell on Yoke S14
Original, quality late 19th century blacksmith made wrought iron 'Clucket' bell on the original Yew wood Yoke. These Yokes were fashioned by the Shepherd and were worn by sheep when grazing, a distinctive, recognisable sound in the mist etc.. Some minor repairs to the wood, replacement leathers made to suit and the bell has been cleaned and lacquered. All is complete and in good and working order. Total length 14". Yoke 8" x 3.75"x 1.25. Round Based Staddle Stone, several available SST2
Original quality, 19th century or older, two piece staddle stone in Bath stone. A good selection is normally available in stock, nicely coloured and weathered and most with lichen and mosses to the top and some sides. These two piece stones were originally used to support timber built corn store buildings, to keep air circulating beneath and hence the damp out and the 'lid' would keep out rats and mice etc. These buildings would always have lift-off steps which were hooked up on the side wall when not in use, hence no access for vermin. The stones vary in size but generally are 26" to 30" tall, 18" to 22" wide cap, 16" to 20" wide at foot of base. All are complete and in good order and separate pictures of particular stones can be forwarded if required. Price is for each two piece staddle stone.
