Lignum Vitae Chog, 3 available C16
Original, quality, late 19th century, tethering chog turned in lignum vitae, as used to tether single grazing animals i.e. horse, goat or sheep. This would be used with a loose noosed chain or rope to keep the animal from choking. Complete and in good order. Lignum vitae is one of the few, very heavy woods that will not float and is ideal for lathe turning.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century cast iron nameplates embossed for "J. B. Edlington & Co Ltd" of "Gainsborough" Lincolnshire. This company founded in 1865 was an iron foundry and manufacturer of farming machinery. This pair of cast iron plates are detailed in upper cased text and each backplate has two countersunk screw holes for mounting. All has been cleaned and lacquered and are complete and in good and working order.

This "Foster Mother" can feed nine piglets at a time if necessary with black teats fitted around the outlet points and this example has the original electric heating element for warming up the liquid feed. Transfer printed for the manufacturer "Arnold & Sons, 84 Wigmore St, London W.I." and with the registration number for the year 1950. One chip to one outlet lip otherwise complete and in good order.
