Original, quality late 19th century steel bread knife with a turned cowhorn handle. The blade is engraved "Bread Knife" and impressed for the manufacturer "Rodgers' Cutlery Norfolk Works Sheffield". Remember, these knives are steel, not stainless steel, and will keep a very sharp edge, but they do not like water or moisture; just wipe and dry them thoroughly. Shows very little use considering its age and complete and in good and working order.

Pair of Horn Interior Bell Pulls BP273
Original, quality pair of early 19th century interior bell pulls, originally fitted on the dado chair rail in a Georgian mansion. These most unusual examples have cast brass mounting plates and back mounts all in the old black paint and polished cowhorn central bosses and the covers and knobs on the face of the cranked winding handle. This is a true pair 1 x left handed and 1 x right handed and the brass could be polished and lacquered if required. These pulls are for use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock and many other bell fittings of differing types may also be available.

Original, quality, late 19th century, interior bell pull, most unusual in 'cowhorn'. This pull is for use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system and other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock. This example has the spherical pull knob mounted within the circular turned horn backplate and fitted with replacement rear spring and washers. All has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century butcher's knife sharpening steel with a nickel ferrule guard and swivel hanging ring and a buffalo horn handle grip. The steel is impressed for a Sheffield maker and is a lot longer than normally found. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality set of four matching 18th or early 19th century brass and cowhorn furniture castors. These very unusual castors, the first we have seen, have pressed and turned wheels in cowhorn. The central pin is in steel but the cover is in brass as are the shoulders. These show little if no signs of use and are great lookers as well as the best to use. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, set of eight matching late 18th or early 19th century chest of drawers knobs with the original brass threaded bars with hand cut nuts, rope twist brass wire inlays to the face of the knobs and replacement washers fitted. One knob has a slightly thicker front, one other knob has some of the brass wire inlay missing and there is a variation in colour to some of the backplates, otherwise all are complete and in good and working order. A super set, so hard to find. Price is for the set. Backplate 1.7" diameter, knob 2" diameter plus 1" bolt and 1.5" front to back.

Original, quality late 19th century three piece steel meat carving set in the original leather paper covered box. The box interior is in purple velvet to the base and silk to the lining of the lid. The knife is etched for the maker "Burdett & Co Sheffield", the sharpening steel is stamped "Cast Steel" and the fork has a good sprung guard. All have pressed buffalo horn grips to appear as stag antler, hallmarked silver ferrules and nickel shield shaped end mounts. Remember, these pieces of cutlery are steel, not stainless steel, and will keep a very sharp edge, but they dislike water or moisture; just wipe and dry them thoroughly. All is complete and in good and working order and this set appears unused.

Original, quality pair of 18th or early 19th century cowhorn, spherical shaped door knobs with a standard square bar and grub screw adjustment system to fit standard mortice and rim locks and latches. Two circular brass backplates copied from originals have been fitted, each with two concealed screw holes for mounting. A most unusual pair of door knobs, very difficult to find in horn and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, late 19th century, fleam with three varying sized blades, cow-horn side covers and a brass spine. All is complete and in good and working order. The smallest steel blade is marked for the maker "Thomas Turner of Sheffield. Fleams were used by stock owners and vets to bleed animals to release presure.

Original, quality large late 19th century, table dinner gong, with a pair of polished cow horns forming an arch, with a circular brass gong suspended between. All is mounted on a honey coloured oval oak plinth, with the hammer on stands to the front. The mounts are in nickel, with an oval plaque beneath the hammer for engraving if desired. The brass and nickel has all been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. A super looking gong with a great tone and resonance.
