This unusual example has a long blacksmith made wrought iron handle with a hanging eye to the top with the rectangular shaped perforated, sheet brass, peel riveted on with copper rivets. The first we have seen and in superb condition and complete. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality late 19th century three piece carving set in the original fully fitted honey-coloured oak box. The box is lined with purple silk to the interior of the lid and red velvet to the base. Each tool has a curved stag antler grip mounted with a hallmarked silver ferrule and tip cover. The steel blade of the knife is engraved "Radiant", the two pronged fork has a sprung safety guard, the sharpening steel is impressed "Cast Steel", and the interior of the lid is detailed for the manufacturer "Humprey & Co Sheffield". Remember, these pieces of cutlery are steel, not stainless steel, and will keep a very sharp edge, but they dislike water or moisture; just wipe and dry them thoroughly. The linings to the box are a little worn but otherwise all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century steel tea / dessert knives with Antler grips and a steel cap to each end. Each blade is detailed for the manufacturer "Joseph Rogers & Sons Cutlers to her Majesty" and 'VR' with the crown for the reigning Monarch Queen Victoria. Joseph Rogers was one the finest cutlers in Sheffield during the late 19th and early 20th century. Original, quality pair of late 19th century continental goats cheese knives in the original fitted box. The box in Faux Shagreen finished in red leather outer has blue silk to the inside of the lid with detail of the maker and blue velvet to the fitted inner base. Each shaped knife has a mother of pearl handle engraved with a coat of arms and both blades are detailed for the retailer or maker with a Paris address. The plain knife has a steel blade and the other has a silver plated or silver blade engraved with an illustration of a goat with foliage. All is complete and in good order. Very usable and very unusual.

Original, quality late 19th century superb unused silver plated fish servers in the original Morrocan red leather paper covered box with a velvet lining to the interior and a silk lining to the lid. Both the knife and fork have embossed handgrips with good detail of fish and acanthus leaves and the blades are engraved with acanthus leaves to the fork and a fish to each side of the knife blade entwined around Neptune's Trident. These Tools are probably the most impressive fish servers we have seen although not in silver.

10 Matching Steel and Bone Knives and Forks C67
Original, quality mid to late 19th century matching steel knives and forks with bone grips; comprising five knives and five forks. The knives have the earlier style of steel blade and are marked for "Rodgers of Sheffield" the cutler manufacturer and "VR" for the reign of Queen Victoria. The forks are two prong and shorter than most due to use and perhaps old damage. The bone grips on all have a checkered pattern, two rivets to each and oval steel plates to the end. Some minor pitting to the blades, but a very usable part set. Complete and in good and working order. Original, quality circa 1900, ceramic spoon warmer fashioned as an egg with the hole where the chick has hatched out. The top is decorated in colour with violet flowers and leaves and the base has acanthus leaf forms as a stand. The underside is printed in gilt "Mintons" and "England".

Perfect. 5" tall x 3.5" wide.

The steel neck varies from a tapered round section to an eight-sided and decorated square tapered length up to the fine three prongs. A great looker and perfect for use at arm's length.
