Carltonware Guinness Cruet Set A139 Original, quality post-war three piece cruet set in cube form, advertising "Guinness for you" and a half pint glass of guinness alternating to the four sides. This set comprising a salt, a pepper and a mustard pot with lid, each marked to the underside for the maker "Carlton Ware and "Made in England, Trademark". Each has a plastic bung to the underside. The pepper and mustard pot are perfect but the salt has a hairline crack to one side or a scratch ? it's difficult to determine, otherwise all is complete and in good and working order.

Oak Biscuit Barrel BB36 Original, quality oak circular biscuit barrel with a carved central band, the original white ceramic liner and nickel plated top rim, swing handle, circular lid and a shield shaped plaque to the front. Carlton Ware Patent Biscuit Barrel BB33 Original, quality late 19th century decorated ceramic biscuit barrel with a silver plated top collar, lid and swing handle. This example is decorated in pastel coloured flowers and is detailed to the underside for the manufacturer "Carlton Ware" and with registration number for the year 1896. The most exciting thing is the automatic rising plated lid, activated when moving the swing over handle left to right. Huntley & Palmers Ceramic Biscuit Box BB31 Original, quality white ceramic biscuit box in the form of a chest of drawers manufactured expressly for Huntley & Palmer Biscuits of London & Reading in 1905. This example is one of a series of twelve china 'casket' shapes decorated to simulate a chest of drawers. Each lid was decorated with a different nursery rhyme by the artist / illustrator Walter Savage Cooper 1863 / 1943. This example has a picture to the top of the lid entitled "Little Tom Tucker, sang for his supper", the underside of the lid has a panel detailing "Huntley & Palmer Biscuit Reading & London" and "Copyright Nursery Rhymes" and the underside of the base has the Royal Doulton Mark and the registration number for the years 1905 / 1906. Some rubbing to the green lines to the top rim of the body section consistent with general use, otherwise in mint condition with no chips or blemishes and complete, although the lid is original, it does not fit snugly. Otherwise all complete and in good order. Another identical biscuit box may be well available ref code: BB35.

10 Matching Steel and Bone Knives and Forks C67 Original, quality mid to late 19th century matching steel knives and forks with bone grips; comprising five knives and five forks. The knives have the earlier style of steel blade and are marked for "Rodgers of Sheffield" the cutler manufacturer and "VR" for the reign of Queen Victoria. The forks are two prong and shorter than most due to use and perhaps old damage. The bone grips on all have a checkered pattern, two rivets to each and oval steel plates to the end. Some minor pitting to the blades, but a very usable part set. Complete and in good and working order. Remember, these pieces of cutlery are steel, not stainless steel, and will keep a very sharp edge, but they dislike water or moisture; just wipe and dry them thoroughly.

Blue and White Dairy Maids Cheese Dish and Cover CD27 Original, quality late 19th century superb wedge shaped cheese dish with a highly decorated cover with a handle to the top. The cover is transfer printed to the inside with the registration number for the year 1899 and the exterior is detailed to each side with a different scene in Blue transfer print. The top shows dairy maids milking a cow in the pasture; one side has a maid working the cheese press and the other side dairy maids pouring milk into the setting pan. The front and back both have floral designs. No cracks or chips but some stains to the floor of the tray dish, otherwise in superb condition. A most unusual cheese dish. In good usable condition.

Both the drawer and the body are impressed '1' for the size. The side lugs enable the grinder to be fixed to a shelf or a table and the grind can be adjusted with a screwdriver from the underside when the drawer is removed. Cast Iron Grisset CM2 Original, quality mid 19th century cast iron Grisset bowl in the form of a Tortoise Shell on four legs. Benson Copper Foodwarmer / Hotplate HP5 Original, quality all copper food warming / heating tabletop cabinet circa 1900. This most unusual item, the first we have seen, was designed by W.A.S Benson and is stamped to the underside of one leg strut "British Made" with the three hammers and "W.A.S.B." logo. This cabinet has a hinged drop down flap to the front, with the original turned ebony knob, two spirit burners sitting on circular trays underneath and ceramic bun feet beneath the cast brass legs and stretchers. All is original, complete and in super condition with just minor repairs to the caps on the burners and replacement wick holder inserts to the burners made to suit copied from the original. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Brass Cauldron Inkstand IW115 Original, quality mid 19th century cast brass inkstand in the realistic form of a three-legged cauldron. This example has a swing-over handle, a hinged lid, a replacement brass liner and is mounted on a circular ebonised wooden plinth. This superb example has a registration lozenge mark for the year 1859. Benson Insulated Jug J148 Original, quality insulated copper jug designed by W.A.S. Benson circa 1900, in the original nickel plated finish and of an unusual shape. The insulated interior has a nickel liner the conical lid has a shaped grip and hinge and the shaped body has a side strap handle and a good sized pouring lip. The grip to the lid is stamped "W.A.S. Benson's patent" and the strap handle is stamped "Bensons Patent". The front of this jug is also engraved "Presented to Mr & Mrs E.W. Stevens by Friends at South Norwood, October 1912". The nickel plating to the exterior is very bright and clean with some minor bleeding of the copper base to the edges. All is complete and in superb condition.

Large Glazed Stoneware Jug J114 Original, quality, late 19th century, two tone, glazed stoneware jug of the bellied form with a good sized pouring lip and strap handle to the rear. The upper half is a pale coffee colour and the lower buff coloured. One chip to the rim, a short hairline crack to the lip and some minor firing blemishes to the surface otherwise in superb condition and very usable. Unusual not to find a maker's stamp.

Kenrick Cast Iron Potstand PS42 Original, quality, late 19th century, cast iron grate mounted potstand of a semi-circular form, with an open cast pattern, great detail and an open fretted gallery beneath. The bracket is adjustable with a cast iron wingnut. The underside is impressed "No 12" and the topside "A Kenrick and Sons" for the maker. A most unusual example from the great iron founder from West Bromich. These were mounted onto the front of kitchen ranges or open fire fronts clipped onto the horizontal bar. 2 Piece Brass Clockwork Spit Bracket SB34 Original, quality late 19th century cast brass two piece bracket for a clockwork spit ( bottle jack ). This superb example has a fretted design to the backplate, arm and sliding hook and would have been mounted below the mantleshelf using the four countersunk screw holes, the bracket arm was projected out for use or flat against the mantel board when not. The spit would be suspended from the sliding hook in front of the open fire or range but not over it and the sliding hook could be moved nearer the heat or away according to the heat required. Bottle jack spits are often available in this same section, if not do ask. Trench Art Shell Case SC305 Original, quality First World War brass shell case cut and shaped to form a miniature coal helmet and possibly for use as a sugar bowl, for the front legs are formed from bullets and the copper handle from a drive belt. The underside of the shell case is impressed with a variety of numbers including "437" and "15" and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order.

Wrought Iron Sugar Cutters SC16 Original, quality pair of late 19th century wrought iron sugar cutters of a most unusual pattern, very basic but not the standard model one normally finds. Wrought Iron Sugar Cutter SC10 A pair of original, quality, late 19th century wrought iron sugar cutters with a good strong spring and clip. These items were used in the kitchen to break down smaller pieces of sugar from the sugar cone. Sugar for the home use was originally sold in tall cone shapes wrapped in blue papaer. It has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order.

W.Bullock & Son Sugar Cutter SC5 Original quality early, 19th century, cast iron sugar cutter, manufactured by W.Bullock & Co, with a replacement lignum vitae grip and brass ferrule, both copied from the original. A circular brass plaque is fixed to the top of the base detailing the maker, 'Patent' and the registration lozenge mark for the year 1843. The same details are also cast into the underside of the base. The cast iron base is rather pitted and has been repainted and now all is complete and in good and working order.

5 Green Ceramic Storage Jars SJ262 Original, quality run of matching square 1930's kitchen storage jars in green ceramic with handles to the front and underglaze titles for "Coffee", "Tea", "Raisins", "CastorSugar" and "Cherries". The cherries is half the size of the rest, one perfect small lid for the cherries and two damaged lids only for the larger sizes so two missing completely. Push in cork lids could be purchased new I'm sure. The underside of the jars is transfer printed "Bristol Kitchen Ware, Poutney & Co Ltd" and with the registration number for the year 1937. To conclude four perfect large jars, one perfect smaller jar, one perfect small lid and two damaged large lids only.

Pair of Copper Saucepans SP179 Pair of original, quality, bellied copper saucepans, with pouring lips and blacksmith made wrought iron side handles. These most unusual saucepans have a side seam, a rolled over top rim and a seam to the floor also. The flat wrought iron handles are fixed with copper rivets and both have a brass plaque detailing the registration number for the year 1884. The undersides are stamped "22JM" and "6" to the larger and "52JM" and "2" to the smaller, the 6 and 2 are for the pints capacity. Both these pans have good internal tinning and have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. They are are complete and in good and working order. The first we have seen of this model.

Copper Turbot Kettle TK3 Original, quality late 19th century large all copper Turbot kettle / Turbotier complete with the inner lifting tray and outer lid. This super example has the quality of "Benham & Froud" but is not marked as such. As the name implies these were used to cook very large flat fish, especially Turbots. The interior tinning is good and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. All is complete and in good and working order.

Benson Copper Teapot TP45 Original, quality circa 1900, copper teapot of an Arts & Crafts form with brass fittings. The underside has the logo "Benson" for the designer and maker W.A.S. Benson. This clean example has the original cane covered handle, turned cowhorn knob to the circular lid and a clever idea to stand the lid up when filling the pot or cooling the contents. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Minor damage to the cane cover to the handle, otherwise all is complete and in good and working order.

Royles Patent Self Pouring Teapot TP39 Original, quality late 19th century silver plated on Britannia Metal patent self pouring teapot "Manufactured by James Dixon & Sons for J.S. Royle of Manchester". The J. Dixon 'Bugle' logo is detailed on the underside as is the patent number for the year 1886. When the teapot is filled and the lid is fitted, just lift the lid with your finger over the hole in the knob, then release the lid, as it falls the liquid will pour out of the spout into a strategically placed cup. This patent teapot was also manufacturered in a variety of materials, copper, brass, ceramic and glass. This example is complete and in superb condition and perfect to use. SYP Ceramic Teapot TP32 Original, quality 1920's / 30's green glazed ceramic two piece teapot. The underside is detailed "Wedgwood S.Y.P. Patent" ( Simple Yet Perfect ). This ingenious patented invention permitted the tea leaves to remain out of the liquid when required to do so to prevent the tea becoming too strong. The lid is chipped and the spout has been trimmed, otherwise complete and in good and working order.

Pierced Brass Isle of Man Teapot Stand TPS4 Original, quality 1920's pierced sheet brass circular teapot stand with four bracket feet and the three-legged logo for the 'Isle of Man '. Copper Samovar TU19 Original, quality early 19th century decorative copper samovar / tea urn. The cast pink brass side handles are in the form of mermaids holding a clamshell, the cast brass tap to the front has much of its silver plated finish and the original green stained bone finial and the lid has a mythical fish finial over the vented cover. The urn shaped body is mounted on a slender neck on a square plinth with bun feet to each corner. A replacement cast iron heating bar has been fitted and the front of the main body has the original silver shield with a Georgian silver hallmark (see picture). All has been fully overhauled and been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order.

Copper Samovar TU17 Original, quality early 19th century, fancy copper samovar/tea urn. The cast pink brass side handles are decorated with Acanthus leaf designs, the cast brass tap has a bone finial grip and the lid has a flower shaped finial/grip mounted above the vented area. The urn shaped body is mounted on a slender neck onto a shaped plinth with ribbed corner mounts and four bun feet. The rim on the plinth and the top rim have bands of pink cast brass as has the central body section. The heating bar and assembly to the inside is missing, but all is complete and in good and working order otherwise and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A super samovar in super condition.
