This pair is impressed with the registration number for the year 1908. 	Tally Iron with Poker L287 Original, quality mid to late 19th century cast iron goffering or tally iron on an 'S' shaped stem, a circular cast iron plinth and the original cast iron poker with a wrought iron stem and turned wooden grip. The poker is an original one with a replacement wooden handle made to suit copied from a very wormy original one. This poker is cast with "9 or 6" for the size although this tally iron would have had a larger sized poker originally. These were used to iron collars and cuffs and even earlier to iron large ruffs worn around the neck. Very unusual to find these irons with original pokers, the poker was heated in the fire and inserted in the barrel when required for use. 	Wm Bullock No 10 Tally Iron with Poker L286 Original, quality mid to late 19th century cast iron goffering or tally iron on an 'S' shaped stem, a circular cast iron plinth and an original cast iron poker with a wrought iron stem and turned wooden grip. The cast iron barrel and the underside of the circular plinth are all impressed '11' for the size. The underside is of the plinth is also detailed for the manufacturer "Wm Bullock & Co". 	Cow Horns Table Dinner Gong G176 Original, quality late 19th century Dinner Gong with a circular brass gong suspended between a pair of polished cow horns mounted on ebonised plinths on an oval shaped honey coloured oak base. The horns have nickel mounts and an old beater is fitted to the front of the gong, as is a nickel plaque for presentation etc. Some minor fatigue to the nickel mounts, otherwise all is complete and in good and working order with a super tone and resonance. The gong is marked "Burmese" but all is of English manufacturer otherwise. Both the nickel and brass mounts and gong are polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 	Brass Electric Side Lamp SL433 Original, quality 1920's brass electric side lamp with three shaped legs and a tapered central stem. Has been rewired with modern three-core silk-covered flex, a new brass UK bulb holder, an in-line switch and a three-pin plug. This style of lamp is often referred to as a "Pullman" lamp suggesting these were screwed to the table in the restaurant car of a railway carriage or the same on a passenger ship. These were not used as suggested but were catalogued for a guest room side lamp or wall light using the hole in the foot on a hook on the wall. This example has in fact got three holes, one per foot, for two extra holes seemed to have been drilled out later. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 	Richmonds Iron Foundry Cast Iron Paper Weight CC281 Original, quality cast iron circular paperweight issued as a "Memento of First Cast, New Foundry, Feb 21 1907" and embossed the same to the top. Also detailed for "Richmond's Warrington & London". This unusual item has the original brass finial grip and a felt pad on the underside. 	Pair of Walnut Door Handles DH093 Original, quality late 19th century spherical shaped turned walnut door knobs. With a square bar included to fit standard mortice locks and latches. This example has the most unusual brass backplates being rectangular with shaped ends and three countersunk screw holes at each end, six in total per backplate. 	H.M.S Tiger Brass Inkstand IW117 Original, quality 1930's inkstand in the original "bronzed" brass finish in the form of a gun turret with twin guns on a turn table base. The hinged lid to half of the top reveals two nickel plated inkwells and the underside of the lid is embossed "cast from metal ex - H.M.S. Tiger", "dismantled 1932" and for the maker "Thomas W. Ward Ltd Albion Works, Sheffield". Some discolouration to the finish otherwise complete and in good and working order and the first we have seen. 	Brass Letter Opener LO32 Original, quality late 19th century cast brass letter opener in the form of a chicken or game bird foot, gripping a feather. This well detailed example has a circular stop to the end of the handle probably to be engraved for use, as a letter seal. 	Brass Galleried Mahogany Drinks Tray T183 Original, quality 1920's rectangular shaped mahogany tea tray with a brass gallery and nameplate to the centre and a handle to each end with turned mahogany grips. 	Exterior Brass Bell Pull BP324 Original, quality late 19th century exterior brass bell pull with a circular and dished backplate for recessing into the wall with a central pull out knob and an outer surround with three countersunk screw holes for mounting. For use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. The reverse of this unit has a replacement spring and all is complete and in good and working order. Backplate 3.75" diam. 	Robert Wells Four Bell Wall Chimes B333 Original, quality early 19th century wall mounted door chimes with four bells mounted in a "Road Hauliers Belfry" and incorporated in a a superb blacksmith made wrought iron frame with decorative wrought iron mounts. The bells were made at the Robert Wells Foundry in Aldbourne Wiltshire, two are embossed "R.W." to the interior for the same. The downward facing bar is the handle to pull and push in and out to ring the bells. A most unusual item the first we have seen. Complete and in good and working order and loud and clear. 	Cased Set of Meat Carving Tools C107 Original, quality circa 1900, three piece set of steel meat carving tools, unused and in the original leather paper covered fitted box. The box interior has a purple coloured velvet to the base and purple silk to the lid. The three tools each have matching antler grips, the sharpening steel is marked "T. Turner & Co" and the blade of the knife is etched "Encore, Thomas Turner & Co Culters to His Majesty ( for King Edward VII ). These super brass containers have large side handles, heavy brackets to slot into wall mounts and screw off top caps mounted with four tubes as pourers or breathers ? I am guessing these are "Saline" testers for ship boilers or possibly safety torches with four wicks for each and fueled by say colza ( vegetable ) oil but I would be pleased for confirmation from anyone. I have found a great deal relating to this Andrew Brown but no reference to these containers. 	Pair of Carved Cameo Shell Electric Side Lamps SL432 A super pair of 1920's cameo Sea Shells both with similar but different finely carved panels and trimmed and converted to a pair of lamp shades with a pair of hand cast three legged brass supports. One carved panel depicts a pair of white horses drawing a chariot over the waves and the other three dancing maidens. 	Brass Galleried Ceramic Tray T181 Original, quality 1920's rectangular shaped ceramic tea tray with a pierced brass gallery with finger grip cutouts on each end. 	Carburine Motor Spirit 2 Gallon Can PC15 Original, quality two gallon petrol can with the original brass screw on cap. This example is impressed to the back and front "Carburine Motor Spirit" and to the top "Not Returnable", "Glico Petroleum Spirit". The brass cap is impressed "Carburine" and although this can has two or three pin holes to the side. All is complete and in good order otherwise. These cans were often fitted to the running boards of the earlier motor vehicles and were generally in use from 1910 to say 1940's. We have cleaned the can and lacquered it, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. This is the first we have seen complete and in reasonable condition. 	Wrought Iron & Brass Dinner Gong G174 Original, quality late 19th century blacksmith made wrought iron stand with curled decoration within the wrought iron and to the feet and top carrying handle and has four turned brass finials within the frame and a large circular brass gong suspended to the open centre. The gong has a hammered finish, a good loud sound and good resonance. The beater hangs to the rear of the gong on a wrought iron shaped hook. 	Palmerlite Electric Side Lamp SL429 Original, quality mid to late 19th century white glass stem and brass mounted, Palmer Candle lamp, converted to electricity. This superb fitting has a cast brass base in the form of acanthus leaves and flowers and very similar brass mounts to the top. The ribbed white glass stem is tapered towards the top and all is aesthetically very balanced in design, even though we have coverted it to electricity. 	Huge Servants Intercom Bell IB336 Original, quality late 19th century servants' larger than normal intercom bell with brass mounts, steel springs and a central brass boss. Can be pulled from either left or right. For use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock. Many other bell fittings of differing types may also be available. Often now referred to as 'Downton Abbey' bells. This super example has a replacement brass central boss fitted copied from an original although all otherwise is original.
