Original, quality 1920's huge cast brass exterior electric bell push of a circular form with a large white ceramic central push button detailed "Press" in upper case text. This unusual example has a good clean dished backplate and "Press" in black and two countersunk screw holes for mounting. For use with a 12-volt, low-voltage electric supply system and transformer. GR V Wall Mounted Cast Iron Posting Box PS84
Original, quality cast iron wall-mounted Post Office 'Post Box'. This model was always in a sub-post office which ensured it could be opened from inside the post office without going outside. Both the doors have a lock and key, the front door key is stamped "Chubb London" for the lock manufacturer and has two pins to the top to open and close the keyhole cover. The front door has the Monogram for King George V 1911 to 1936 and the posting slot in embossed "Post Office" to the cover with the King's Crown above in relief. This example has much of the old red paint but it would benefit from a blasting and repaint. All is complete and in good and working order.

The interesting lock, the first we have seen has brass casing all around and the two keys, different in barrel size and detail both override each other when in use, the true purpose of the locking mechanism is unknown but all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century set of grocers' / butchers' counter scale with an original stack of seven brass weights 4lb down to 1/2 ounce. This most unusual example has an enamelled white on cast iron body, transfer printed "Avery White Knight" and "to weigh 20lb", a square ceramic slab, transfer decorated with a figure of The Scales of Justice and a circular cast brass tray to take the weights. The stacking weights are the standard number of circular brass ones. The brass has all been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Fully overhauled and apart from some very minor chips to the enamel, a little discolouration and all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century W&T Avery ceramic grocers' / butchers' counter weights. These weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. These examples are transfer decorated in green with "Imperial" and "4lb" or "2lb" to the top and "W&T Avery Ltd Birmingham" in ribbon swags to the front. These are as near mint condition as you could hope for with just one miniscule blemish to the top of the "4lb" very near to "Imperial". The lead infills used to counterbalance to the true weights are present and more than that, they are both stamped in the lead with an identical customs and excise mark, 'VR' for the Reign of Queen Victoria over "572" and beneath the Crown for Queen Victoria. A wonderful pair of weights the best I have seen and complete. These were made by Wedgewood although not marked as such.

Air blown through the rubber tube by mouth puts a jet of flame out of the blowlamp across the flame giving out a very fine jet of flame. Original, quality heavy brass loo door lock set, circa 1900 / 1920's complete with all the necessary pieces. This lock was manufactured for use with old pennies and all has been fully overhauled polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. This lock is designed to be mounted on the outside of an inward opening door and is handed. When the coin is inserted, the locked door can be opened and when the bolt is drawn across on the inside, another coin will not be accepted for another person to enter. Only when the bolt is drawn back on the inside, can another person gain entry. Each time the bolt is operated the indicator will change from vacant to engaged or vice verca. All the fitting are original with the exception of the keys and the keeps these have been made to suit and now all is complete and in good and working order. A super brass loo lock. Including all the correct screws.

This super bowl is decorated to the outside with two pieces of four flags of the Allies, one laurel wreath with "God Save The King" and line drawing illustrations of "HMS Lion", "HMS Iron Duke" and three early aircraft. The underside is detailed with the registration number for the year 1914 and for the manufacturer "Chelson China of England". Complete and in good order.

Original, quality late 19th century silver plated on nickel rectangular shaped tray with a very unusual gallery, four feet, and a grip handle to each end. This example has a very decorative pierced outer rim profusely engraved in great detail of acanthus leaves, acorns, oak leaves, thistles, roses and shamrocks and to the centre "Presented by The Congregation of St Georges-in-the-Fields Parish Church Glasgow along with a purse of Soverigns to the Rev, James Meikle M.A.B.D, on the occasion of this appointment as minister of the Parish of Alyth 29th June 1897". All is complete and probably one of the best silver plated tray we have seen. Some very minor rubbing, otherwise complete and in good and working order.
