These objects later acquired their superstitious properties of scaring away evil spirits and witches if you are superstitious. Originally these were free blown and silvered to the inside with an early mercury silvering and a small brass disc and ring were fitted for these to be suspended with. These were made in a huge range of sizes and colours but are not easy to find these old original ones today. All is complete and in good and working order.
