Original, quality near unused 1920's coal box shovel or even possibly a banker's money shovel used for bagging up coinage ?. This superb example has a thick gauge copper scoop, a cast brass stem and the original turned honey coloured oak grip in the original finish. A good solid shovel well above average. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 14.5" x 4.75" x 3.25".

Original, quality 1960's sheet pink brass letter flap of good proportions with replacement nuts, bolts and spring fitted. The top section of this example is impressed "Lloyds Bank P/c.", so originally this was fitted to a bank door. Complete and in good and working order. Exterior 12.5" x 3.5. Aperture 9.75" x 1.5". Bolt centres 11.5".

The seven slots will take half crowns, two shillings, shillings, sixpences, silver threepences, pennies and notes. The top details Midland Bank Ltd and a number and the underside is detailed with the patent and registration number for the year 1927. I understand the banks would have held the key. All otherwise is complete and in good order. 3.25" diam and 1.5" tall.

Original, quality post-war heavy brass nameplate in probably a bronze frame all in the unpolished patinated colour and inlaid with white enamel upper cased text "Midland Bank Limited". This plaque, in amazing condition, has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and could be polished to a shiny brass finish and lacquered if required, although that would be a shame. Complete and in good order. 18" x 12" x 0.5".

A good bright sign, with eight screw holes to the outer border, but with chip damage to the enamel edges, mainly to the top and corners. 26" x 10".
