Original, quality circa 1900, very slim and narrow copper shovel with a shaped turned wooden handle painted black. This example may well have been used with a coal box but more probably used by a bank clerk for shovelling coinage into cloth bags. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 12.5" x 3.25" x 1".

Original, quality near unused 1920's coal box shovel or even possibly a banker's money shovel used for bagging up coinage ?. This superb example has a thick gauge copper scoop, a cast brass stem and the original turned honey coloured oak grip in the original finish. A good solid shovel well above average. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 14.5" x 4.75" x 3.25".

The five slots will take sixpences, shillings, threepences and pennies or half crowns and the hole to the underside will take the banknotes. The brass plaque to the top details "Lloyds Bank Ltd" and the underside is marked with a patent number for the year 1921. I understand the banks would have held the key. Original, quality post-war heavy brass nameplate in probably a bronze frame all in the unpolished patinated colour and inlaid with white enamel upper cased text "Midland Bank Limited". This plaque, in amazing condition, has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and could be polished to a shiny brass finish and lacquered if required, although that would be a shame. Complete and in good order. 18" x 12" x 0.5".

A good bright sign, with eight screw holes to the outer border, but with chip damage to the enamel edges, mainly to the top and corners. 26" x 10".
