	Halls Patent Letter Balance PS65 Original, quality sheet brass letter balance in the original matt gilt finish, calibrated with the postal rates for the years 1865 to 1871 and the original green leather covered hinged case. This example was designed by NR Hall in 1863 and is impressed "Hall's Patent" and stamped "Parnell London" for the manufacturer. The case is rather thin at the leather hinge but otherwise in super condition, with the underside impressed for the retailer "Asprey 156 Bond Street and 22 Albemarle Street". 	Parnall & Sons Scales and Weights S292 Original, quality set of late 19th century cast iron grocers' / butchers' shop counter scale in the original paintwork. The ceramic slab, brass pan for the weights, the arms and base of the scale are all marked for the scale maker and shopfitting supplier "Parnall & Sons Ltd of Bristol". The stack of weights are included, with the cast iron ones being embossed again for 'Parnall & Sons'. Some staining to the ceramic slab but all is complete and in good and working order otherwise. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 17" x 7.5" x 8" tall to tip of point. Scale slab 7" diam. Brass pan 6" diam. 	14lb Parnall & Son Brass Weight W370 Original, quality late 19th century bell shaped grocers' / butchers' shop counter weight impressed to the top of the ring handle "14lb" and to the shoulders, "VR590" beneath the Royal Crown and a circular stamp containing the name of the manufacturer "Parnall & Sons Ltd, Narrow St, Bristol".
