Sirens Cast Iron Bicycle Stand C11 Original, quality late 19th century cast iron Cycle Stand embossed with scenes of rolling waves and rocks with "SIRENS" ( Mermaids ) to each corner and with the name "Sirens" to each end. Opening Ceremony Scissors CC136 Pair of original, quality, silver handled scissors used for an opening ceremony in Kingston-Upon- Hull in 1935, in the original shaped and fitted box. The case has a hinged lid, cream silk lining to the lid, black velvet to the base, gold tooled leather cloth to the outer and a gilded commemoration plaque to the top of the hinged lid. The plaque is engraved "Presented to Ald. A. Stark, J.P. and Lord Mayor of Kingston-Upon-Hull on the occasion of the opening by him of Hull's Super Service Station for Automobile Purchases (Hull) Ltd, 10th July 1935". The silver handled scissors are hallmarked for "Birmingham 1934" and engraved with the initials "A" and "S". All is in super condition, the scissors having little use only and the box is in near mint as you can get. What a most unusual opening ceremony.

Art Deco Turkey Car Mascot CM56 Original, quality 1930's French Car Mascot in the Art Deco stylised form of a Turkey. This cast brass mascot was originally nickel plated but now only shows traces of the nickel. The circular base of this mascot is marked for the designer / sculpture "F. Bazin" for Frederick Bazin of Paris. All is in superb condition and recently mounted on a slab of polished marble.

Chromed Hippo Car Mascot CM52 Original, quality post-war chromed car mascot in the form of a 'Hippo' probably manufactured by "L. Lejeune". The chrome plating is in super condition and the plinth has two threaded holes for the mounting bolts. Could this be the car mascot for The Leander Club ? Near Pair of Millers Oil Motor Vehicle Lights M144 Original, quality near pair of 1920's motor vehicle oil side lamps manufactured by "Miller of Birmingham" and marked as such to the fronts with a brass label and to the brass grips on the wick controls. These lamps are identical apart from a few small differences. The wick controls and the butterfly side locking bolts. The brass bezel to one lens has some metal fatigue but otherwise all is complete and in good order with no rust or cracks to the lens. All has retained an old black paint finish and the brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

The pourer has a screw on brass dust cover with a brass retaining chain. Carburine Motor Spirit 2 Gallon Can PC15 Original, quality two gallon petrol can with the original brass screw on cap. This example is impressed to the back and front "Carburine Motor Spirit" and to the top "Not Ritmable", "Glico Peturnable Spirit". The brass cap is impressed "Carburine" and although this can has two or three pin holes to the side. All is complete and in good order otherwise. These cans were often fitted to the running boards of the earlier motor vehicles and were generally in use from 1910 to say 1940's. We have cleaned the can and lacquered it, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. This is the first we have seen complete and in reasonable condition.

Civil Service Motoring Association Award P40 Original, quality small pewter tankard with a side handle, presented to R.A. Prew in 1934 with an applied enamelled brass badge to the front detailing "Civil Service Motoring Association, the Services, Trial". The underside is impressed "English Pewter". The enamelling is in perfect condition as is the rest and all is complete and in good order.

R.A.C Enamel 'L' Plate S402 Original, quality 1930's / 40's enamel learners 'L' plate issued by "R.A.C" for a certified driving instructor. This unusual example has the Royal Automobile Club logo to the top, the large red 'L' for learners and detailed for the driving instructor "No 4586 H. Lloyd". Four bolt holes for mounting and some minor rust, otherwise a bright clean sign. Complete and in good order.
