RAFAA" and "RE8" and stamped in black "A.1.D.700". A very clean example, in good order.

Original, quality mid 19th century folding brass travelling / campaign coatrack with ten brass hooks fitted to twelve flat, brass clad on steel rails which will open and close to adjust and fit a given wall space. This super example has five cast brass coat hooks riveted to a thick leather collar with a strap and buckle for mounting. The hooks have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the leather is good and strong and will fit up to 4" diam tent post. All is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality three piece set of steel fire irons fashioned from late 19th century French bayonets. Each piece is an original bayonet with etched details of a location in France and a date, each engraving has different details and dates 1877, 2 x 1879 and 1880. Each bayonet is complete with just the alteration to fire irons. I understand a huge hoard of this model bayonets were discovered in a Military Storage Depot in France in the early 20th century. We have sold fire irons of the same model as these, over the years but they are not too common. All have been cleaned, polished and lacquered and are complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, late 19th century, circular shaped military hat tin in the original bronzed and patterned paintwork andwith a wire carry handle to the hinged lid. The interior has most of its original bronzed finish. The front of the tin has a hasp fitting to take a padlock and the lid has a shield shaped brass nameplate for the supplier "Hawkes and Co Ltd 1 Savile Row London W". The lid has an owner's detail painted in white letters detailing "L.F Close K.S.L.I". Generally complete and in good shape, but with a few dents and rubbing to the paintwork.

I am not sure that the rest of the jug is 'trench art' but who knows,? All is complete and in good and working order with a hinged cover, a handle to the rear and a good pouring lip. The shell case underside is impressed 1918 June; and other numbers. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality 1930's / 40's children's feeding bowl with a black on white cartoon detailing Pip, Squeak and Wilfred to the centre. These characters were a popular strip cartoon in the Daily Mirror during the Second World War and their names were given as nick names to the three standard medals issued to all UK personnel serving during the Second War. The underside is detailed for the maker "Royal Doulton, Made in England" with a reference to the "Daily Mirror". Complete and in good order with no chips or cracks.

Original, quality pressed brass tin with an embossed hinged lid bearing a cameo of Princess Mary, two 'M' monograms and panels around it with the names of countries allied to Great Britain in the 1st World War; Belgium, Japan, Russia, Monte Negro, Sierra and France. Complete and in good order. These brass tins, containing a variety of items dependent on the recipient, were given to all British troops serving overseas for Christmas 1914. The funds for these were raised by Princess Mary, daughter of King George V. Most but not all of the tins were issued with a pack of cigarettes, a pack of tobacco, a Christmas card in an envelope, a printed photo. of Princess Mary and a silver tipped brass shell case with a pencil inside. All items were marked with the monogram 'M' with a crown over. Polished and lacquered. This tin is without contents.

Original, quality late 19th century Sheffield plated, campaign type, shaving Etna with a hinged lid to the base to conceal the spirit container and a hinged top lid to reveal the foldout side handle. This item has been later engraved to the top of the lid as a presentation, detailing "Military Police Sports, Wiesbaden 1926". Not sure how it is heated although a container for the meths spirit is included in the base. What is here, is all in good order and the silver plating is in exceptional condition apart from the rubbing around the engraved detail, obviously from cleaning it often.
