This example has been trimmed down and could now be mounted with a clock, mirror or photograph. This has eight bolt holes and is impressed around the rim "T6296", "B.N. No 480", "12cy1. RAFAA" and "RE8" and stamped in black "A.1.D.700". A very clean example, in good order.

Original, quality mid 19th century shorter than the norm. mahogany truncheon with a ribbed grip and a crown shaped finial. A very faint painted Queen Victoria crown can be seen with a circular logo beneath, for the Reign of Queen Victoria. This unusual example has been chewed by mice or rats at both ends but otherwise all is complete and in good order.

Original, quality early 19th century decorated boxwood truncheon riddled with worm holes. This example has painted decoration detailing an elephant with a coronet howdah, surrounded by a laurel wreath, all beneath the monogram "G.R" with a large Royal Crown above. Although riddled with worm holes there is no recent evidence of worm activity and we have treated all intensly to make sure, all is complete and in good order otherwise George IV reign 1820 to 1830.

Original, quality late 19th century brass bound beech brace with a lever chuck action, an ebony head with an inset brass maker plate and brass mounts. One bracing plate is impressed for the maker "James Howarth Sheffield", the inset plate to the head, "James Howarth Broomspring Works" and the mouth of the chuck is stamped '98' or '89' perhaps for the year? All has been cleaned, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Fully overhauled, and complete and in good and working order. A seriously good example in super condition and the first brace by this maker we have had.

Original, quality late 19th century superb button chuck brace in beech, with a cocobolo head with a brass inset maker's plate and a button chuck in brass. The chuck is stamped for the manufacturer "D.Flather and Sons Warranted", and the head has a Royal Coat of Arms and "D.Flather and Sons Solly Works Sheffield". The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, and the original finish to the wood enhanced. Fully overhauled, complete and in good and working order. This is the first of this maker we have seen.

Original, quality pre-war ebonised mahogany or similar wooden 'Swanee' whistle with a steel internal slide and a nickel ferrule. The barrel is impressed "Jetel Midget". Cleaned with polished and lacquered nickel mount and complete and in good and working order. Great fun to play.
