1895 Commemorative Wedgwood Jug J208 Original, quality blue and white ceramic water jug with an illustration of Josiah Wedgwood to each side, a pouring lip and a side strap handle. The front of this example has transfer printed detail of a ribbon swag detailing "Josiah Wedgwood 1730 to 1795". This jug was issued in 1895 to commemorate the centenary of J. Wedgwood's death. One minuscule, minor chip to the underside of the base, otherwise complete and in good and working order.

John Gilbert London Ceramic Scale Plate SP9 Original, quality late 19th century circular white ceramic scale plate, with transfer printed details to the centre for "John A. Gilbert & Co Makers London" and impressed Wedgwood to the edge for the manufacturer. This was originally from a shop counter scale as used by Butchers, Grocers and on Dairy Counters. Ideal for a cheese plate. No chips or cracks, but many small rust stains back and front, otherwise complete and in good order.

Pair of Wedgwood Salad Servers SS12 Original, quality pair of 1920's nickel salad servers with wedgwood white on blue Jasper ware handles. The stems are impressed 'EPNS' for electro plated nickel silver and all is complete and in good and working order with not a chip in sight.

Wedgwood Partridges Tile T204 Original, quality late 19th century 8" square glazed pictorial tile manufactured by 'Wedgewood & Sons'. This superb example details a covey of English Partridges in grasses and foliage all in a sepia colour, transfer printed on off-white. This artwork, although not marked is almost certainly by William Wise and produced for use in butchers and game dealer shops. Embossed to the reverse "Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Etruria". Some minor crazing to the glaze but otherwise complete and in good order.

1/2lb Avery Ceramic Weight W379 Original, quality late 19th century W&T Avery ceramic grocers' / butchers' counter weight. These weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. This example is transfer printed "1/2lb" to the top "W&T Avery Birmingham" around the base and has retained the lead infill to the underside for counterbalancing to the true weight. All is complete and in good order.

Pair of Avery Ceramic 4lb & 2lb Weights W378 Original, quality pair of late 19th century W&T Avery ceramic grocers' / butchers' counter weights. These weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. These examples are transfer decorated in green with "Imperial" and "4lb" or "2lb" to the top and "W&T Avery Ltd Birmingham" in ribbon swags to the front. These are as near mint condition as you could hope for with just one miniscule blemish to the top of the "4lb" very near to "Imperial". The lead infills used to counterbalance to the true weights are present and more than that, they are both stamped in the lead with an identical customs and excise mark, 'VR' for the Reign of Queen Victoria over "572" and beneath the Crown for Queen Victoria. A wonderful pair of weights the best I have seen and complete. These were made by Wedgewood although not marked as such.

Half Pound Ceramic Weight W368 Original, quality late 19th century Grocers' or Butchers' shop counter weight in white ceramic in a "cottage loaf" shape. This smaller example is complete but it does have a scuff or two to the top and an edge knock to the base otherwise all is very clean. The top is transfer printed "Imperial Enamel Weight" and " 1/2 lb". These ceramic weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. Complete and in good order.

This example has poor restoration to two areas to the underside of the top section which could be improved considerably. These ceramic weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. This 1lb version is transfer printed to the top "Imperial 1lb" and is complete and in good order.

W&T Avery 7lb Ceramic Weight W365 Original, quality late 19th century Grocers' or Butchers' shop counter weight in white ceramic in the shape of a "cottage loaf". This large example has some damage to the reverse under the top grip which could be restored but otherwise all is complete and in good order. These ceramic weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. This 7lb version has a band of green decoration around the lower rim, a ribbon swag to the shoulder with details for the manufacutrer "W&T Avery Birmingham", good wear marks to the underside and the original lead infill to the base. With the exception of the damage to the reverse the rest is in super condition and complete.
