Bretby Huntley and Palmers Plate A76
Original, quality late 19th century decorative ceramic plate mounted with four facsimile Huntley and Palmers biscuits. Three of these very lifelike biscuits are impressed for Huntley and Palmers just as the real ones were and the green glazed plate is finished as if a paper doiley was on the plate. The underside is impressed for the makers "Bretby England" and '1146' and with the registration number for the year 1897. There is an old repair to the edge as shown in two of the pictures here, a chip has been glued back in rather clumsily, otherwise all is complete and in good order with a super gloss finish back and front. 11.5" x 9" x 1.75".

Huntley and Palmer Ceramic Biscuit Box BB27
Original, quality white ceramic biscuit box in the form of a chest of drawers manufactured expressly for Huntley and Palmer Biscuits of London Reading in 1905. This example is one of a series of twelve china 'casket' shaped and decorated to simulate a chest of drawers and each lid was decorated with a different nursery rhyme by the artist / illustrator Walter Savage Cooper 1863 / 1943. This example has a picture to the top of the lid entitled "There was a little man and he had a little gun", the underside of the lid has a panel detailing "Huntley & Palmer Biscuit Reading & London" and "Copyright Nursery Rhymes" and the underside of the base has the Royal Doulton Mark and the registration number for the years 1905 / 1906. Some rubbing to the green lines to the top rim of the body section consistent with general use, otherwise in mint condition with no chips or blemishes and complete. Why not collect all twelve for I have only ever seen three different. 5.5" tall x 7.25" x 4.5".

Original, quality 1920's square enamel sign detailing a bright, colourful picture of 'John Ginger' with two tins of Huntley and Palmers biscuits under his arm and surrounded by a circle with "Huntley & Palmers Ginger Nuts". This super pictorial advert does have some damage to the enamel at the edges and one top right corner has lost a little. Nevertheless, a good bright enamel sign. 18" x 18.5".

Original, quality decorative biscuit tin fashioned as a bound book with a hinged lid and finished in gold coloured detail on dark brown. The interior is etched for the manufacturer "Huntley & Palmers Biscuits of London & Reading". This tin was issued in 1924 and entitled "Books". Some minor blemishes, otherwise complete and in good order. 9.75" x 7" x 1.25".

This example originally contained tiny biscuits in the form of letters spelling out "Huntley and Palmers". Several models of this shape and size were issued and this one is decorated with blue on white with each panel detailing "Superior Reading Biscuits, Huntley and Palmers" with a different biscuit of their range "Rich Mixed", "Macaroons", "Dessert, "Empire Assorted" and "Chocolate Mixed". In near mint condition. Complete and in good order. 1.5" square and 1.75" tall.

This example originally contained biscuits in the form of letters spelling out "Huntley and Palmers". Several models of this shape and size were issued and this one is decorated in white and red on dark blue with each panel detailing "Superior Reading Biscuits, Huntley and Palmers" with a different biscuit from their range "Nice", "Cornish Wafer", "Iced Gems", "Osborne" and "Petit Beurre". Several models were issued and this one is decorated in a buff colour and marked for "Cornish Wafers", "Cream Crackers" "Cheese", "Thin Captain" and Highly Baked oval water" . Original, quality, rectangular shaped biscuit tin with Dutch scenes to the lid and four sides in shades of blue. This tin was produced for Huntley and Palmers in 1897 and is referred to as the 'Delft' pattern. The underside is impressed "Huntley and Palmers Biscuit Manufacturer Reading and London". A very clean example of an uncommon tin with just a few minor rubs and scuffs. Complete and in good and order. 8" x 6" and 1.75".

Original, quality, superb Huntley and Palmer's 'Wallet' biscuit tin in the form of a snakeskin handbag. This tin was manufactured in1903 by Huntley Bourne and Stevens for Huntley and Palmers and is in super condition retaining its original handle and catch, with just a few minor rubs and scratches around the catch area. Complete and in good order. 7.25" x 6" and 2.75". This tin was purchased at one of ITV's "Dickinson's Real Deal" filming days at Harrogate.

Original, quality bronze vesta case manufacturer for Huntley and Palmers circa 1890, by Schutz of Vienna, as a promotional item. This is in the form of the Huntley and Palmers 'Albert' biscuit and was originally covered in biscuit coloured paint. Impressed to the front, as in the biscuit 'Huntley and Palmers Albert' and to the reverse "Made in Vienna". Complete and in good and working order. 2" diam x 0.25".
