Original, quality silver plated punch bowl profusely embossed and engraved with acanthus leaves, swags and flowers. One side is engraved "House Athletics G.S. Shephard, Winner of The Mile Handicap Scratch, Eton 1902" and to the other side "Winner of The Long Jump Hcp, 2nd in, Quarter Mile and Hundred Yards". The underside is stamped for the maker "Rowell Eton" and all is in near mint condition with no dents or wear to the silver plate.

Original, quality late 19th century, company seal press in cast iron with brass mounts, the most elaborate we have seen. This fabulous example has the original gilt decoration to the body and base and to the pair of heavy flyweights and has a brass locking pin with provision to take a padlock. The printing block is detailed with a company crest and "Hampshire Committee Insurance". The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality 1920's all brass electric reading / desk lamp with the original brass trough shade. This unusual example has an Art Nouveau feel above it and is well about average in quality with the cushioned shade ends and shaped lever to alter the angle at the base. This lamp is adjustable with two actions 1. the lever at the base and 2. the movable shade and has a heavy weighted circular base. All has been fully overhauled, rewired with new three core silk covered flex, a new pull cord switched bulb holder and a new three pin plug. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Shade 8.5" x 3" tall x 5" front to back.

Original, quality 1920's cast brass continental five branch electric light fitting in the 'Empire' style with the original brass ceiling rose and a length of replacement brass chain. This example has rams head decorations, gryphon or eagle heads, acanthus leaves and laurel leaf swags. Has been rewired with modern three core silk covered flex and new brass UK bulb holders and replacement card candle look-a-likes have been fitted to cover the bulb holders. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Pair of original, quality late 19th century glass fingerplates with pressed ferns and other leaves mounted behind on paper backing. The bevelled glass panels have a cut decoration all round the inner edge of the bevel. The backs are in tin, sealed over the rear edge of the glass and show remains of the original cream paint colour and each plate has two countersunk screw holes through the glass for mounting. Some staining around the two screw holes and one very tiny chip to one corner ( see picture ). Otherwise all is complete and in good order and the first we have seen.

Small Blue Witches Ball
Original, quality late 19th century small spherical shaped blue coloured, glass witches ball. These were originally used to mirror the light around a room in the days when candle, oil or firelight was the only source of light other than naturally through the windows. These objects later acquired their superstitious properties of scaring away evil spirits and witches if you are superstitious. Originally these were free blown and silvered to the inside with an early mercury silvering and a small brass disc and ring were fitted for these to be suspended with. These were made in a huge range of sizes and colours but are not easy to find these old original ones today. Complete and in good order.

Original, quality 1920's set of four matching heavy cast brass single branch electric wall lights. These super examples have large circular backplates, each with three screw holes for mounting and a shaped arm with a sconce drip pan. These have been rewired with new three core flex and new brass bulbholders. Replacement card candle look-a-likes have been fitted to cover the bulb holders and all has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. The "drip pans" are modern brass replacements.

The front of the shield is painted "Northern Territories Gold Coast 1929". An extremely good example by these renowned taxidermists, in super condition.

Original, quality late 19th century blacksmith made wrought iron 'Clucket' bell on the original Yew wood Yoke. These Yokes were fashioned by the Shepherd and were worn by sheep when grazing, a distinctive, recognisable sound in the mist etc.. Some minor repairs to the wood, replacement leathers made to suit and the bell has been cleaned and lacquered. All is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality superb cast brass on oak wall mounted dinner gong manufactured by William Tonks and Son of Birmingham with a lion's head on a scrolled brass mount, all mounted on a rectangular shaped honey coloured light oak backboard with a hook for the brass shafted beater beneath. The circular brass gong is suspended from the lion's jaws and has a textured finish. The backboard has a brass wall hanging plate to the reverse and this and the oak backboard is impressed with the sun logo and "WT&S" for the manufacturer 'William Tonks & Son of Birmingham'. The backboard is also stamped with the registration number for the year 1912. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order with a super deep tone and resonance. The backboard has a slight warp but is in good order otherwise.

Original, quality, 19th century, large fleam mallet in turned boxwood with a steel blade concealed within the handle. The last section of the mallet handle will unscrew to reveal the knife and the head of the mallet will also unscrew. The two sides of the mallet head are marked and scuffed from general use, there is a short grain split to the handle of the knife, but otherwise all is complete and in good order. Ideal also as an auctioneer's gavel. This is the largest fleam mallet we have seen.

Original, quality late 19th century superb pair of cast pink brass door knobs in the well detailed form of poppy seed pods in the Art and Crafts manner. The backplates have a milled edge and concealed countersunk screw holes for mounting and the threaded standard square bar and grub screw adjustment system will fit standard mortice locks and latches. This is the first pair we have seen of this model and am informed they came from either Hampton Court Palace or Buckingham Palace during a refit. Complete and in good and working order.

The underside is embossed "No 2 England".

Original, quality circa 1900, curved enamel plaque with yellow detail on a bright green background. Each corner has a countersunk screw hole for mounting to a telegraph pole. The details are in both Southern Irish and English stating. "Post No Bills". Some chips to the enamel at the corners otherwise complete and in good order; a really clean and bright enamel plaque.

Original, quality 1920's, cycle stand. This superb example has a detailed cast iron base in the form of a styalised creature with a lion's head, four clawed feet and is embossed "The Willbro Norwich". These were used to display cycles in shops or exhibitions and would hold the cycle off the floor with the hub resting on the support, the front wheel between the prongs and the main frame clamped in the mount. All has been cleaned and repainted black and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality early 19th century freeblown clear glass tall jar with lid and the original paper label detailing "Glycerine & Lime Cream for the hair prepared by J.W. Cocks Pharmaceutical Chemist Castle Circus Torquay". The jar neck and stopper are ground to fit and both have good pontil marks to the undersides. Compete and in good order.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century carved oak fireside bellows. These bellows have been fully refur-bished with new leather and brass studs and are now complete and in good and working order. The brass nozzle has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the rest hs been cleaned and waxed. The top has carved acanthus leaf designs and a motto? "Wind Feeds Fire" and "Words Ire".

Original, quality 1920's, electric pendant bell press, rewired with new two core silk covered flex and for use with a 12 volt, low voltage electric supply system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock and many other bell fittings of differing types may well be available. This unusual example turned in Walnut has ivorine fittings and is fashioned in the form of an acorn. Fully overhauled and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality circa 1900, circular ebony pin dispenser with the original wrap of dressmakers pins. The underside is impressed "Real Ebony" and shows a split in the ebony grain. Complete and in good order otherwise and the first we have seen.
