This example has the sliding bolt locking in on the two positions locked and unlocked. Original, quality 1920's five piece sectional oak bookshelves in the original finish. Although not marked as such this system was manufactured by Minty of Oxford who made a variety of glazed and unglazed bookcases. This is the first we have seen of the open type. As always with this brand, each stacking section is locked onto the one beneath with turning wooden plates. Some minor scuffs to the finish from use and all is complete and in good order.

The underside of the plinth is impressed with the sun logo and "WT&S" for the manufacturer 'William Tonks & Son of Birmingham' and also has the original shop price in code written in ink. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality early 19th century decorated boxwood truncheon riddled with worm holes. This example has painted decoration detailing an elephant with a coronet howdah, surrounded by a laurel wreath, all beneath the monogram "G.R" with a large Royal Crown above. Although riddled with worm holes there is no recent evidence of worm activity and we have treated all intensly to make sure, all is complete and in good order otherwise George IV reign 1820 to 1830.

Original, quality late 19th century ceramic spill vase manufactured by Bretby in the form of a pig beside a feed bin on a grassy patch. The feed bin is embossed "Thorley's Food", the back of the pig is detailed "Who Said Thorley's Food" and the underside is impressed "Bretby England". The paintwork is rubbed in areas to the bin and the back of the pig. Otherwise, all is complete and in good order. This is the first we have seen or even heard of.

Original, quality late 19th century smaller than average fireproof safe in the original paintwork inside and out. The brass fittings are all the original and have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. This super small example has brown paint with yellow coach lining to the exterior and pale green to the interior and has the original very sturdy wooden stand made to suit. The locks have been fully overhauled and two keys are included for the door and one for the inner drawer. Some old stains to the top surface otherwise all is complete and in super original condition and in good working order.

Safe exterior 19.5" tall x 13.75" x 14" front to back plus stand 15" tall.

Interior 11.5" tall x 9" x 11.5", plus drawer.
