Original, quality late 19th century blacksmith made trivet / potstand with three legs, a pierced sheet brass top surface, a turned hardwood handle and two brackets to the front. This example was designed to be either freestanding or to clip on the front bars of a kitchen range or fire grate. All original, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no exta cost and complete and in good and working order. 5" tall, 13.25" long and 6" widest.

Original, quality 1920's 'Carlton Ware' ceramic sugar bowl with a nickel rim and lid with a bone grip to the handle. This super example is in the very realistic form of a granite curling stone, it even has the coarse band of simulated granite to the centre. The underside is transfer printed with the logo for "Carlton Ware Stoke on Trent". Perfect and complete. 4" tall including the lid and 5.5" diam.

Silver Presentation Trowel in Case P6
Original, quality late19th century hallmarked and engraved silver presentation trowel in the original morrocan leather covered fitted case. This superb example has a clean and smooth turned irovy handle and a shaped silver blade engraved unusually to both sides. The top is engraved with acanthus scrolls and "Presented to James Davies Esq. on the occasion of his laying a Memorial Stone of the Welsh Wesleyan Chapel, City Road London, 7th Dec 1882". The reverse is engraved "Presented to Mr Ian Rowberry managing director Rosehaugh Copartnership Developments Ltd by directors of Wates Construction (London) Ltd to Commemorate the topping out of the New Caledonian Wharf SE16 on Wednesday 2nd November 1988". Good clear silver hallmarks are also to the reverse. The fitted case is lined with Royal Blue velvet and silk and the hinged lid interior is detailed in gilt "Goldsmith's Alliance Ltd Cornhill London". This whole item is faultless and the best we have seen. Box 14" x 5.25" x 2.5". Trowel 12.5" x 4" x 2".

Original, quality oak tray circa 1900 / 1920's with the original nickel gallery with grips to each end, four bun feet to the underside and a central plaque engraved 'B' for a previous owner. The underside also has the original paper label for a retailer "W.W. Kemp & Son Regent House High St Bristol". A super tray, not warped and complete and in good order. The nickel has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Oak 19.5" x 13.5" and total including handles 21.5" x 13.5" x 2.75".

Original, quality 1920's continental pierced brass small decorative tray with a central glass lined dish decorated behind the glass with real butterfly wings. The frame of this tray is finely pierced with designs of butterflies and is signed to the top "F. Billere". The underside has four ball feet and is stamped "Depose". The upper brass surface has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good order. 10.5" x 4.75" x 0.75".

Original, quality late 19th century brass counter bell. These bells were used on shop or hotel counters and hall tables and other similar bells may be available on request. The cast brass dome is mounted on a central stem, and the external clapper is mounted to the decorative cast brass base. Original, quality late 19th century cast pink brass surface mounted door lock with the original cast brass keep, key and pair of drop ring handles. Both the lock and the handles are stamped for the manufacturer "Gibbons of Wolverhampton". This super lock and keep have a flange all around with the screws holes for mounting, and the lock has a decorative serpentine shaped flange to the end. Will take a standard modern square bar for the handles and this lock has the provision for a handle turn and a key lock. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The handles are not lacquered, but are included in the set for this lock, keep, key and handles have been together since new. A fabulous set by a well respected manufacturer.

This window was from an estate cottage on the "Sutton Estate" in Berkshire, originally part of the "Sutton Seeds" Empire. This example has an inner larger shaped hinged window section within and all is complete and in good and working order but needs reglazing of course. Great as a window or glazed for a mirror. Another matching window of the same size may well be available ref code: W450, but this one does not have the opening inner section. 57" tall x 18.5" x 7/8" front to back. The brass fittings to the inner drawers and the door are all the original and have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The locks have been fully overhauled and has two keys for the door and one each for the drawers. The brass plaque is detailed for the manufacturer "T. Withers & Sons Ltd" West Bromwich as is the door inside and out. All is complete and in good and working order. Exterior 28.25" tall x 19" wide + 20.5" including handles. Interior 18" tall x 13.5" wide and 12.5" front to back plus drawer.

This example, as used in butchers' shops for chopping up sides of meat and joints, is in good and usable condition with a reversible block, both sides of which have been used. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. Backplate 1.75" tall x 1.5" wide, total 3.5" tall and 3.75" front to back. Original, quality late 19th century, wall mounted cast iron harness rack with polished teak mounts. The ironwork is in the old red paintwork and has four countersunk screw holes for mounting. This example was manufactured by "Musgraves of Belfast" and is embossed as such to the underside. These were supplied to the very best stable yards for top properties. Complete and in good and working order. Other harness racks of this quality are often available. Backplate 7.5" tall and 8.25" wide + 7.5" total front to back.
