Original, quality 1920's huge six branch brass wall mounted coat rack. Each branch is tubular brass with a spherical finial, all mounted on a circular backplate with four countersunk screw holes for mounting. Some minor dents, but otherwise complete and in good and working order. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order.

Enamel Telephone Sign
Original, quality 1920's very clean enamelled directional arrow, "Telephone" double sided sign in red upper cased text on a cream coloured background with a red edging all round to both sides. This near mint sign has two holes to the top edge for hanging from a bracket. Complete and in good order.

Huge Cabinet of Drawers
Original, quality late 19th century huge fitted shop counter / chest of twenty-four deep drawers, all in top quality pine. The top was badly marked and has been cleaned back and refinished leaving a golden brown colour and the front, back and sides are all in the original finish with all the original brass label frames and turned wooden knobs. The drawers are 21" deep and each a have fixed central divider. A good heavy quality chest of drawers of unusual proportions in wonderful condition.

Marble Pestle and Mortar
Original, quality early to mid 19th century white marble mortar with a composition pestle with the original turned fruitwood handle. The mortar, unusual in marble has the classical four ears to the thick bowl and is rather small for a solid marble one as against the normally found composition versions. The pestle is impressed '7' for the size and does have a minor chip but otherwise, all is complete and in good order and very usable.

Art Nouveau Cast Iron Rain Hopper
Original, quality late 19th century larger than average cast iron rain hopper. This great example has a 'D' shaped centre with wide side flanges for mounting, each one with an Art Nouveau pierced cut out design and two bolt holes. This will fit 3.75" internal diameter downpipe if required for use or ideal for planting up on a wall. All in the old grey paintwork and complete and in good and working order.

Carved Breadboard
Original, quality late 19th century well-carved breadboard in Teak. This example is unusual in teak but still has the quality of intricate carving seen on old sycamore breadboards. The wide carved border is detailed in wild dog rose flowers and leaves or similar. Some minor chips to the outer rim but otherwise complete and in good order. The first we have seen of this design.

Art Nouveau Brass Letter Flap
Original, quality 1920's large cast brass letter flap with an integral door knocker in a serious Art Nouveau style. The backplate has embossed detail of plant forms, the aperture flap has "Letters" in stylised upper cased text, and the large horizontal knocker is again in plant form. The reverse is impressed 'CJS' for the manufacturer and replacement spring bar, spring and threaded bolts have been fitted, and all is complete and in good and working order. A great looking piece of Art Nouveau.

Huntley & Palmers Kitchen Range Biscuit Tin
Original, quality Huntley & Palmers biscuit tin issued in 1926 and entitled "Kitchen Range". This super tin is difficult to find in good condition today for when found the doors or catches are missing. The original paint on this example is generally in good condition as is the tin with just the minor rubbing and one scratch. The doors are hinged, and the latches do operate. The underside is etched "Huntley & Palmers biscuits Reading & London", and one end is printed 'HB & S Ltd R' for the manufacturer of the tin Huntley Bourne & Stevens Ltd. Cleaned and waxed and complete and in good order.

Wrought Iron Crusie Lamp
Original, quality 18th or early 19th century blacksmith made wrought iron " Crusie Lamp". These lamps were suspended from the ceiling in country cottages or the workplace and animal fat (Tallow) was burnt as an oil with a rope wick. The lower section would hold the hot coals or embers. This example has super curls (rams horns) decoration. Great to find these complete and in good order.

Newlyn Copper Tray
Original, quality 1920's oval shaped copper drinks tray with a 'pie crust' gallery and the detail of a 'Cod type fish to the centre. The reverse is stamped "Newlyn" for the maker. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good order.

Granite Curling Stone
Original, quality late 19th century "Ailsa Craig" granite curling stone with a cast brass handle and rosewood grip. This stone is polished to the top and bottom leaving a band of textured finish around the centre. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order.

Tortoise Counter Bell
Original, quality 1920's cast iron counter bell in the realistic form or a Tortoise of Turtle as used on shop and hotel counters. This clean example has good detail and most of the original black japanned paintwork to the underside and all has been fully overhauled, cleaned and lacquered. This clockwork model has a fixed key to the underside and the tail or the head can be pressed to activate the bell. All is complete and in good and working order.

Cast Iron Sold Plaque
Original, quality late 19th century cast iron "Sold" sign to be pushed into the earth. The embossed sold is on one side only although the manufacturer's details are on both and details possibly "Maldon Iron Works Co. Ltd". Who would have used this I do not know ? Complete and in good order.

Huge Town Criers Bell
Original, quality late 19th century huge cast brass Town Criers handbell in the original unpolished patina with the original turned fruitwood handle and cast iron internal clapper on a wrought iron chain. A super larger than the norm handbell, very, very loud and with good resonance. Cleaned and waxed and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century circular sycamore breadboard a little larger than average normally found and with a super carved motto to the border detailing "Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread". Some minor chips to the outer rim, one chunk from the edge has been refitted and a very minor warp, otherwise all is complete and in good order.

Brass and Mahogany Beer Engine
Oak Smokers Cabinet
Original, quality late 19th century two door, honey coloured oak smoker's cabinet in the realistic scaled down form of a miniature fireproof safe complete with keyhole covers stamped "Secure Lever", a lock and key, brass 'T' bar handles and brass coat of arms. The hinged doors open to reveal three drawers, a space for a tobacco jar and a pull out pipe rack. The lock has been fully overhauled, the key works, the brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the lock cover to the inside of the cabinet is impressed with the registration number for the year 1886. All is complete and in good and working order.

The Dainty Stoneware Muff Warmer
Original, quality 1920's buff coloured stoneware muff warmer to be filled with hot water and carried in the ladies muff or the coat pocket. This super example has the original screw in stopper, two eyes to the top for a small brass chain or cord and is transfer printed in blue to the front "The Dainty Muff Warmer". Complete and in good and working order and in mint condition.

Sheffield Plated Tankard
Original, quality 18th or early 19th century approx quart size, copper tankard, originally Sheffield plated. This superb example has lost its silver plating to the exterior but the lid interior has retained it. The shaped cast brass mounts to the side handle are normal for this type of tankard is the shape of the body and the lid is inset with a one shilling silver piece dated 1797. All is complete and in good order with not a dent in sight and has been polished and lacquered.

Set of 4 Lignum Vitae Bowling Woods
Original, quality late 19th century, set of four matching lignum vitae bowling woods with inset ivorine discs to each side. This superb set are impressed to the wood for the maker "Thomas Taylor of Glasgow" and engraved to the ivorine disc with the monogram of the original owner to one side and the numbers '1' to '4' to the other. No splits or cracks and complete and in good order. Lignum Vitae is heavy and hard and one of the few woods that with not float.

Burton Ales Advertising Match Striker
Original, quality 1920's cream coloured ceramic counter top matchstriker with green decoration and text. This super example has a spherical shaped match holder to the centre detailed "Worthington's Burton Ales" and with the trade mark "Sword on a Shield" to the reverse and the front. The two side supports are the matchstrikers and the circular base is again detailed "Worthington's Burton Ales". The underside is marked "The Property of Worthington & Co Ltd Burton on Trent" and "Mintons England" for the manufacturer. Some minor crazing otherwise complete and in good and working order.

George Peacock Sheep Dip Jar
Original, quality late 19th century two tone glazed stoneware jar, impressed to the shoulder "George Peacock Sheep Dip" for the supplier of the original contents and "Pearson & Co, Whittington Moor. Potteries Chesterfield" for the manufacturer of the jar. A 'hairline' to one side which does not show through to the inside, otherwise all is complete and in good order. A most unusual find.

24" Brass Door Bolt
Original, quality, 24" long, surface mounted brass door bolt, circa 1900, with a replacement keep made to suit. This unusually long, all brass door bolt has a ball finial grip, eight countersunk screw holes for mounting and the keep has two. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Pair of Spelter Figural Candlesticks
Original, quality pair of circa 1900, continental spelter figures in the original paintwork. These wonderful examples, the first we have seen, are depicting a rich gentleman at the races in top hat and a tail coat and a jockey, both standing on plinths, both with a recess to the top for a candle and both plinths are signed for the artist or ? Some minor chips overall but otherwise all is complete and in good order.

Original, quality circa 1900 art nouveau fire screen with a shield shaped brass panel embossed with a stylised design of hydrangeas and arrowroot leaves mounted on a blacksmith wrought iron stand with three legs. All is in a serious art nouveau design and the brass has been polished and lacquered although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, and the ironwork cleaned and re-painted black. All is complete and in good and working order.

Grimwades Decorated 'Mecca' Ceramic Footwarmer
Original, quality very unusual decorated version of the white ceramic 'Mecca' Footwarmer manufactured by "Grimwades, Winton China Works, Stoke on Trent". The underside is detailed as such and with the registration number for the year 1910. The body is decorated in colour to all sides in a chinoiserie pattern including the original screw in stopper. All complete and in good order with just a minuscule chip to the bead decoration on the stopper. The first we have seen of this model.

Brass Letter Balance with Inkwell
Original, quality late 19th century engraved brass postal scales mounted on the original shaped walnut plinth with the original fitted glass inkwell and old replacement brass weights. This most unusual example is the first we have seen. The brass scales are engraved with flowers and leaf designs to the front and top, the inkwell is in moulded glass with a cast brass hinge and collar to the lid and the walnut plinth is mounted on three bun feet. The weights are of the correct number and denomination but the originals would have been engraved. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Fully overhauled and complete and in good and working order.

Huge Anvil
Original, quality late 19th century wrought iron Anvil of large proportions. This huge example, possibly the largest we have had to date, has a long top flat working surface with three apertures for shaping tools; one small circular and two larger square ones. Dental Tooth Key
Original, quality, late 18th or early 19th century, steel tooth key with a two piece buffalo horn hand grip. The removable key is stamped "3" and is sprung retained. These tooth keys were used to extract the molar teeth before the days of anesthetic. A super example, complete and in good order.

Original, quality circa 1900, vaseline glass oil lamp shade with strong coloured vertical stripes with a flared and wavy upper section. Will fit a standard, duplex double wick burner gallery. Perfect and in a super colour.

Pair of Brass and Mahogany Wall Brackets
Original, quality late 19th century pair of small wall brackets with 'D' shaped mahogany shelves mounted on a fabulous pair of cast brass shelf brackets in the realistic form of curled snakes with super detail. The backmounts each have three countersunk screw holes for mounting and bear a registration lozenge mark for the year 1882. One mahogany shelf has a burn mark probably from a candlestick when in use and the brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. These were probably desgined for candle brackets.
