Original, quality 1920's white glass advert in the original oak frame promoting "Bass in Bottle". The etched detail to the glass panel is in red and black, the frame is impressed to the top and bottom 'Bass and Co Ltd' although rather faint and the reverse has the remains of an old label still affixed. The reverse also has the original easel type wire stand, for this sign was originally designed to stand on a shelf on the bar backdrop. The wooden backing board is a replacement, but all otherwise is original and in good order. 10.5" x 8.25" x 0.75".

Original, quality late 19th century copper ale Muller of the shape referred to as 'Donkey's Ear.' This example has a tinned interior, a pouring lip and a blacksmith made wrought iron side handle with a super curled over end for hanging. A good dovetailed seam is visible down the length. These were placed in the hot coals of an open fire for warming ale. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. Body 9.5" tall and 5.5" top diam. Wrought iron handle 8.5" x 0.75". Total including handle 13.5".

Set of 3 Glazed Doulton Stoneware Barrels B3
Three matching original, quality, mid to late 19th century, two tone saltglazed stoneware sherry/spirit barrels, with applied Coats of Arms to the front. Each barrel has six simulated bands, a hole to the bottom front for a tap and a hole for filling to the top. Impressed "2" to the top surface and "Doulton and Watts, Lambeth Pottery, London" for the manufacturer. All these barrels are identical, with only a variation in the colour of the glaze. Two are perfect and the other has a little crazing to the front and to the applied Coat of Arms, although nothing is missing. A great set of barrels, sold together. Each barrel is 12.5" tall, 10" widest, 8" base diameter and 8.5" top diameter. Price is for the set of three.

Original, quality probably 1950's / 60's all chromed bar top beer pull, with a spout to the front and a side lever with a spherical finial / grip. The front is mounted with a curved brass plaque for the supplier of the drink to be poured and detailed for Simonds the brewer from Reading in Berkshire. Original, quality, 1920's, copper ice bucket with an enamelled white interior to the bucket, brass side handles and a knob turned in cow horn to the lid. The underside of the handles and the inner rim of the lid are impressed 'W.A.S Benson Patent'. One small dent to the top rim otherwise all is in superb order. This is only the second we have seen. Has been lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order. 10.5" wide including handles, 8" front to back and 9" tall including lid.

Original, quality late 19th century white ceramic lined oak "Lemonade Jug" with nickel bands, lid, handles and mounts. This superb example, the best we have seen has a hinged top lid with a finial, a handle to the front and back, a shaped pouring spout and a shield shaped plaque for engraving. All is in superb order with the original finish to the honey coloured oak and only minor rubbing to the nickel mounts and no chips stains or cracks to the ceramic liner. 9.5" tall, base 7.5" diam and 10.25" front to back including handles.

The circular base has a thick rolled over rim, and the top rim has a customs and excise lead seal detailing 'GR' with a crown over '6' and '47', '47' being 1947 the last time it was re-checked and stamped. The front is impressed "½ gallon". A very clean example with no dents, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Original, quality, very large ale measure jug in white ceramic with transfer decoration of hops and barley to both sides, a pouring lip and a side handle. The underside is transfer printed in black with the 'Crown Pottery' logo, "Patent Government Stamped Measure, Sole Patentee and Maker, John Tams Longton", "Hop and Barley" and with the registration number for the year 1905. I can not find the custom and excise etched mark, but all is complete otherwise and has the stepped rim around the handle. This jug does have an 1.5" hairline crack to one side of the lip, but no damage or chips otherwise. This eight pint jug is a most unusual example, the largest we have seen. 9" tall, base 8.25" diameter, 10.5" wide including handle and spout.

The front of the measure is punch stamped "2 Gallons". These most unusual examples have side loop handles, tapered bodies, pouring lips to the top and the original lead 'weights and measures' impressed seal detailing "E R " over "6" beneath the Kings Crown, for the reign of King Edward VII 1902 to 1911. The larger size has an oval brass plaque to the front detailing 1/2 pint and the smaller one is stamped "Gill". Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good order. Larger 5" tall, base 3.75" diameter, 5" wide including handle, smaller 4.5" tall, base 3" diameter and 4" wide including handle.

Original, quality, circular copper wine coaster / trinket tray, embossed to the front within a circular frame, with the heads of King George V and Queen Mary and details for their coronation 'June 22nd 1911'. Beneath this detail in script is "Daimler The Prestige Motor Car Company". Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good order. Pair of Ceramic Spirit Flasks SF2
Pair of original, quality, late 19th century, white ceramic square spirit flasks with side loop handles, narrow necks with pouring grooves and replacement brass mounted cork stoppers made to suit copied from originals. These super flasks are transfer decorated in black to the shoulder and above with flowers and one has a gothic "G" for Gin and the other "I.W." for Irish Whisky. The undersides are both impressed with the registration lozenge mark for the year 1877. No chips or cracks and complete and in good and working order. The first we have seen of this style. Gin 8.5" including stopper tall x 3.75" square body, Irish Whisky 8" including stopper tall x 3.5" square body. Price is for the pair.

Original, quality late 19th century continental glass 'double bubble' soda syphon with a pewter top collar, lever and tap and a lattice canework covering overall. The pewter collar is impressed "Veritable Seltzogene D. Fevre Paris" to one side and 'Despose' to the other. The canework is near complete and in good order with just a few minor breaks, and the glass and pewter mounts are complete and in good order, but this item is now for decoration only for it originally would have been pressure filled. A supe looker and not often found in such good order. 19.5" tall and 8" widest diam.

Original, quality 1920's cylindrical oak soda syphon stand, with nickel mounts to the top rim, the plinth, side handles and a diamond shaped plaque to the front for engraving if required. The nickel mounts have been polished and lacquered and all is complete and in good and working order. This is the first oak soda syphon stand we have seen. Original, quality 1920's oval shaped white ceramic 'Sherry Barrel'. This example is decorated with a plum pink colour body with white bands and a faux 'Sherry' label to the front, all outlined with gilt lining, etc. The hole to the front was for the tap and the top originally had a circular dust cap to cover the aperture. Some minor crazing, otherwise complete and in good order. 13" tall, 13" wide x 9" front to back.

Original, quality, late 19th century, barrel shaped clear glass spirit dispenser, with cut glass decoration to the front, a bottom hole for the tap and a lift off lid to the top. The front is engraved and gilded "Pale Cognac" and "Page and Sons", the lid is old, but not the original, all is otherwise original and in good order. These dispensers were used on the bar backs in pubs and hotels. Not a common find today and this is a good example. 15" tall with lid, 11" without + 8" widest.

Original, quality 1920's / 30's, mahogany tantalus with nickel fittings, a locking catch with a replacement key made to suit and three matching cut clear glass decanters with stoppers. These larger than average decanters are all original to this tantalus and with the exception of some minor chips to the bottom corners on two decanters they are perfect. A super set with just some minor scuff marks to the mahogany base, complete and in good order. Tantalus 17" x 7" + 12.5" tall, each decanter 3.5" square x 9.25" tall.

Three large chips to the base, some minor chips to the top rim and an ill-fitting cover / lid, obviously some damage but a great looker nevertheless and I guess the rim of the lid could be ground down to fit. The front is etched and gilded "Peach Bitters" and the tap has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.
