Cast Iron Cycle Stand C8
Original, quality 1920's, cycle stand. This superb example has a detailed cast iron base in the form of a styalised creature with a lion's head, four clawed feet and is embossed "The Willbro Norwich". These were used to display cycles in shops or exhibitions and would hold the cycle off the floor with the hub resting on the support, the front wheel between the prongs and the main frame clamped in the mount. All has been cleaned and repainted black and is complete and in good and working order. 21" tall x 8.5" wide at base and 15" front to back.

Opening Ceremony Scissors CC136
Pair of original, quality, silver handled scissors used for an opening ceremony in Kingston-Upon- Hull in 1935, in the original shaped and fitted box. The case has a hinged lid, cream silk lining to the lid, black velvet to the base, gold tooled leather cloth to the outer and a gilded commemoration plaque to the top of the hinged lid. The plaque is engraved "Presented to Ald. A. Stark, J.P. and Lord Mayor of Kingston-Upon-Hull on the occasion of the opening by him of Hull's Super Service Station for Automobile Purchases (Hull) Ltd, 10th July 1935". The silver handled scissors are hallmarked for "Birmingham 1934" and engraved with the initials "A" and "S". All is in super condition, the scissors having little use only and the box is in near mint as you can get. What a most unusual opening ceremony. Box 9.25" x 4.25" and 0.75" front to back, scissors 7.5" x 2.25".

This superb quality badge has an enamelled white cross on blue for Scotland and heavily embossed decoration of thistles with a crown to the top. The lower section has two bolt holes for mounting and the reverse is detailed for the maker "Alexander Scott Ltd Glasgow" and owner's membership number AA2932. This super example is signed to the base "Charles Sykes" for the designer and "Rolls Royce" and stamped under one wing "Trade Mark RE01". This model was originally the size fitted to 1911 to 1914 Silver Ghosts and is the largest of the Rolls Royce Mascots. All is complete and in good order. Plinth 5.5" diam and 2.75" tall. Pair of Merryweather Copper and Brass Fire Engine Oil Lamps FF61
Pair of original, quality late 19th century superb small copper fire engine side lamps, with brass fittings, the original oil reservoirs and burner and large brass makers plates to the top detailing "Merryweather and Sons, Fire Engine Makers Long Acre London" and with the Royal Coat of Arms. The only apparent alteration from all being totally original is that the burners are a little different, one wire ring handle on the oil tank has been replaced, and there is a very minuscule chip to one glass. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Otherwise all is original, in good order and complete and in working order. 8" tall including handle, 3.25" wide and 4.5" front to back including mounting assembly.

Original, quality nickel key to fit the 'AA' Telephone boxes and given to members only from 1919/ 1920. The AA boxes first appeared in 1911 but members only received keys from 1919. The keys used in 1920 were so dated and continued to be issued in this shape until 1921. This clean example has the fretted double "A" and "Property of the automobile association", "1920", to one side and "Shermays Ltd, Cheapside London EC2" to the other and "H and T.V." for the maker of the key, H and T Vaughan of Willdenhall. This example is the first we have seen of this model. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 2.75" x 1.25".

Original, quality, pre-war, rectangular shaped brass plaque, of a plain form, inlaid with upper cased text detailing "Roseland Service Station Ltd, Registered Office". This plaque has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and is in the old patinated colour, but it can be polished back to pink brass on request for no extra cost. Complete and in good order. 8" x 5".

Original, quality early 19th century or perhaps a little older, all brass oil can in the original unpolished green finish. This super example has a cylindrical body on four ball feet with a circular screw off filler cap to the top, a long tapered and curved spout to the front and a circular rope twist handle with finger rests top and bottom. This is the first we have seen and all is complete and in good and working order. 16" long, 3" wide and 5" tallest.

4 Stoneware Spirit Flasks in Fitted Basket SF10
Set of four late 19th century square two tone stoneware spirit flasks in the original fitted basket. Each flask has a strap handle with a decorative mount at the end, the original brass mounted cork in the original colour, an impressed lozenge mark for the year 1877 and the name of the original contents "Scotch Whiskey", "Irish Whiskey", "Gin" and "Brandy". The flasks are all perfect and complete but the basket is a little shakey and the worst for wear. Each flask 8" tall including stopper and 3.5" square. Basket 9" square, 5.5" tall plus 3" handle. Price is for the set.

Original, quality 1920's, tall cylindrical tin with a circular press in lid. This tin details "The Bryterlite Brand Superior Quality Carbide of Calcium". 1lb size prepared by "The Humber Oil Company Ltd" and "Specially Prepared For All Types of Motor and Cycle Acetylene Lamps". Lots of other details and some rubbing overall but no dents or rust and no contents. 6.75" tall x 2.25" diameter.

Acme Siren Cycle Horn W35
Original, quality, post war, whistle / horn of the trumpet form, in nickel plate and used by the early cyclists. This example is stamped "The Acme Siren", "Made in England" and has the original eye for a lanyard rope and much of the original black interior paintwork is still visible. Polished and lacquered, complete and in good and working order. 3.75" flare + 7" tall.
