The Beetall Gas Iron Stand IS51

Original, quality late 19th century cast iron stand for the "Beetall Gas Iron". This most unusual example, the first we have seen, has an embossed top detailing "The Beetall Gas Iron Rest Rd 349247" for the year of registration of 1899 and has an insert brass plaque for the manufacturer "The Beetall Manufacturing Company, Birmingham England". Some minor damage to the decorative skirt and a good repair to the rear trim, otherwise all is complete and in good order, cleaned and lacquered.
