Original, quality late 19th century super beech button, chuck brace with an ebony head and a brass collar and chuck. The manufacturer's name '1 & N Sorby ' is stamped below the grip and again on the brass chuck mount. Fully overhauled, the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the woodwork waxed. All is complete and in good and working order.
Total 13.5" x 5.5" x 3". Circular head 3" diam.
