Oak Bound Cigar Cutter CC8

Original, quality late 19th century casket shaped oak cased table cigar cutter with a lift up lid for the matches and a brass striker with a well for the cigar ends / used matches. The brass is impressed with the registration number for the year 1893. The hinge is in the original matt gilt finish and the striker has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A most unusual example, the first we have seen. Complete and in good and working order.
