Large Brass Fireside Shovel F389

Original, quality, early to mid 19th century, larger than average brass fireside shovel. This heavy example has a plain tubular handgrip, with a spherical finial and a rectangular shaped spade end in heavy grade sheet brass, with a decorative pierced centre panel. The piercing to the shovel was to sift through the embers and put back onto the fire all but the ash. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order.
