Original, quality late 19th century large pewter water or wine jug, stamped to the underside for the manufacturer "James Dixon & Son Sheffield". This superb example has a good pouring spout, a shapely handle with a heart shaped lower stop with a "Tudor Rose" in relief and a hinged lid. Complete and in good and working order.
15" tall including finial. 7 1/8" base diam. 9.75" including handle plus spout.
