Heavy Brass Fireside Shovel F608

Original, quality mid to late 19th century larger than average fireside shovel with a good shaped grip, a tubular stem with decorative turning and a large pierced shovel end. The piercing to the shovel was to sift through the embers and put back onto the fire all but the ash. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.
