Bronze Champleve Enamel Photo Frame PF166

Original, quality late 19th century continental heavy bronze champleve enamel photo frame designed to hold a cart de visite sized photograph. The coloured inlaid enamel to the face of the frame is against a blue enamel background and does have minor damage to three areas; otherwise all is complete and in good order. This super frame has a fretted brass fold flat, easel shaped backstand and a ring to the top for wall mounting. The backstand is impressed with the manufacturer's mark "M.V" with a hammer between. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.
