Brass Leather Clip LC64

Original, quality 19th century brass letter clip in the original unpolished finish. This example has a ring to the top for hanging, a backplate decorated with acanthus leaves, a steel spring and a front clip section embossed with the Royal Coat of Arms and the makers' details "Merry Phipson & Parker" and "Regd Oct 3 1843" and "No24". All is complete and in good and working order. These were made in several sizes, and this is the largest we have seen to date.
