Brass and Wrought Iron Bread Peel BP21

Original, quality late 18th / early 19th century blacksmith made long bread peel as used by Bakers to feed and remove bread in the deep ovens. This unusual example has a long blacksmith made wrought iron handle with a hanging eye to the top with the rectangular shaped perforated, sheet brass, peel riveted on with copper rivets. The first we have seen and in superb condition and complete. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.
