Original, quality late 19th century butchers shop sharpening steel, with a staghorn antler handgrip, a brass safety guard and a brass swivel hanging ring. The finely ribbed iron is impressed for the manufacturer "Christopher Johnson & Co Sheffield". Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.
