W.Bullock & Son Sugar Cutter SC5

Original quality early, 19th century, cast iron sugar cutter, manufactured by W.Bullock & Co, with a replacement lignum vitae grip and brass ferrule, both copied from the original. A circular brass plaque is fixed to the top of the base detailing the maker, 'Patent' and the registration lozenge mark for the year 1843. The same details are also cast into the underside of the base. The cast iron base is rather pitted and has been repainted and now all is complete and in good and working order.
