Pair of matching early 19th century drop ring handles for a chest of drawers. This superb set has retained most of its original gilt finish with a matt finish to the backplate and a high gilt to the ring pull. The backplate has a delightful face of a lion in relief and the heavy drop ring is dished, has a fine bead to the inner and outer edges and the original hand cut threaded nut and bar with a later steel washer. Some minor staining but otherwise a high gilt gloss generally.
