Half Pound Ceramic Weight W368

Original, quality late 19th century Grocers' or Butchers' shop counter weight in white ceramic in a "cottage loaf" shape. This smaller example is complete but it does have a scuff or two to the top and an edge knock to the base otherwise all is very clean. The top is transfer printed "Imperial Enamel Weight" and " 1/2 lb". These ceramic weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. Complete and in good order.
