Original, quality mid to late 19th century brass barrelled mortice gauge with an ebony head and inset copper maker's plate detailing "Fenton & Marsden", a Royal Coat of Arms, "970" and "Registered 1847". Some scuffs to the ebony head and a previous owners name stamped in "TG Harrison" and complete and in good and working order.
