Cast Iron Grate Mounted Potstand PS39

Original, quality, late 19th century, cast iron potstand with a movable foot beneath to adjust to the variable sizes of stove fronts. This form of potstand would be used on the bars of a kitchen range or fire front to keep a pot or kettle warm rather than used for cooking. This example is cast with an Aesthetic Movement design and although it is missing the tip of the foot it is complete and in good and working order and has been cleaned and lacquered.
