Cast Iron Cork Squeezer CS6

Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, cast iron cork press as used by the chemist shops and dispensaries to compress small corks before dropping them into medicine bottlenecks. This example will take four different-sized corks, has deep relief decoration in the form of acanthus leaves and has four feet, each with a countersunk screw hole for mounting to the work table. I know this looks like a door knocker, but it is seriously a cork squeezer. Cleaned, lacquered and complete and in good and working order.
