Bronze Ceiling Rose Mould CRM1
£650.00 GBP
Original, quality mid to late 19th century heavy circular bronze mould for making plaster work ceiling roses of great detail. This example is with the original pale green patina back and front, and has great detail of a good depth and a smooth underside, but again with the same colour finish. The outer rim has four lugs with a threaded hole, either associated with four legs used during the making and drying process or bolts to secure a cover during the same. A very interesting view into the process of moulding decorative ceiling roses in its day. Actual weight nine stone or 126lb. In good order.
Main body 28" diam. 0.75" each lug. 3" front to back max.
