Britannia Fire Assoccation Fire Mark FM28

Original, quality late 19th century pressed copper fire mark produced from 1868. This company was renamed "Britannia Home &Coloured Insurance Comp." in 1879. This fire mark has a good clean copper colour overall with no signs of any original paint so it obviously has been stripped and washed clean. The main detail is in good order, although the copper is very thin in places, the outer edges are showing some loss of metal.
