Brass Letter Opener LO32

Original, quality late 19th century cast brass letter opener in the form of a chicken or game bird foot, gripping a feather. This well detailed example has a circular stop to the end of the handle probably to be engraved for use, as a letter seal. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The first we have seen and complete and in good and working order.
