Brass Coal Helmet & Scoop CH116

Original, quality late 19th century / circa 1900 brass coal helmet with a pull-out steel liner and the original scoop. Apparently this helmet has never had a piece of coal in it ever. It was purchased privately from a property in Derby as an heirloom passed down a generation or two and only used as decoration. This is also the first coal helmet of its type I have seen with a lift-out lining. Quite obviously this is the original scoop. We have made one good repair to the scoop you, would be very clever to spot, and all is complete and in good and working order and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.
