Brass Coal Helmet CH115

Original, quality late 19th century brass coal helmet with the original brass scoop and turned ebony hand grips. This superb example in wonderful condition has embossed decoration of roses and leaves to the hinged front lid, the upper surface and the sides of the circular foot / stand. The cast brass handle supports and side mounts have the detail of acanthus leaves. All is in unbelievable condition and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.
