Billiard Table Iron with Sleeve L291

Original, quality late 19th century rectangular shaped billiard table iron with the original tinsmith made steel sleeve to protect the baize on the table from staining. The iron would be heated, then fitted with the clear sleeve. This smaller example has a cast iron body and hand grip with wrought iron supports, and the top of the body is embossed for the maker "W. Jelk & Sons London". All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order.
