Barclays Bank Money Box MB40
£56.00 GBP
Original, quality ovoid shaped money box with a chrome plated finish. The six slots will take sixpences, shillings, threepences and pennies or half crowns and florins and notes. The brass plaque to the top details "Barclays Bank Ltd Home Safe" and the underside is embossed "Made in England by John Lawton and Sons Ltd of Birmingham" and "Impressed provisional patent 1931". I understand the banks would have held the key. All is complete and in good and working order.
4" x 2" x 2.5" tall.
