Asiatic Pheasant Blue and White Platter P108

Original, quality mid 19th century large ceramic oval meat platter with a pale blue design of "Asiatic Pheasant" to the front and a multitude of repaired cracks which is stunning to the reverse. The cracks and inserted original pieces have all been staple repaired with brass staples, a work of art. The only damage otherwise are chips to the footrim. This example has a deep gravy well and is complete otherwise.
