April Wedgwood Tile T227

Original, quality late 19th century pictorial calendar tile entitled "April" manufactured by Wedgwood. This clean example has an illustration of two children under an umbrella sheltering from the rain under a tree. The reverse is also glazed but is plain white and embossed with one letter per square detailing "Wedgwood & Sons Etruria". One minor chip to one corner and a clean 2 1/2" hairline crack to the reverse, otherwise all is complete and in good order.
