Anchor on Rocks Copper Jelly Mould JM414
£565.00 GBP
Original, quality late 19th century copper jelly mould of 'Benham & Froud' quality but not marked as such. This most unusual example depicts, in good relief, a ship's anchor on a chain, cast upon jagged rocks. The copper skirt is stamped "1521" for the original owners and with the registration for the year 1873. All is in superb condition, including the tinning to the interior with no dents or holes, and all is complete and in good and very usable condition, and only the second example I have seen.
Base diam 5.75". 5.25" tall.
