6 Pint Brass Hot Water Can J247

Original, quality late 19th century brass hot water jug of an unusual form. These were used by the maids to top up the hot water to the bedroom jug and basin toilet sets. This example has a sliding top lid, we have not seen another to date. The underside is impressed "6" for the capacity of 6 pints. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.
