These gongs may even have been made by this Birmingham Maker to celebrate or commemorate an event relating to The Notre Dame Cathedral. Both sides of the gong show wear to the chrome plating, as do some of the other plated mounts. The original old beater has been fitted with a replacement head with a chamie leather cover made to suit. All is complete and in good and working order with a good tone and resonance. The plated mounts have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.
