Original, quality Second World War aircraft propeller hub in laminated mahogany originally with four propeller fins. This example has been trimmed down and could now be mounted with a clock, mirror or photograph. This has eight bolt holes and is impressed around the rim "T6296", "B.N. No 480", "12cy1. RAFAA" and "RE8" and stamped in black "A.1.D.700". A very clean example, in good order.

Original, quality Second World War cast brass handbell with the original turned beech handle and cast iron internal clapper on a chain. The bell is stamped to the outer rim "G and J 1939" and "ARP" for Air Raid Personel. These bells were manufactured during the second world war and used for Air Raid warnings and are good and loud. This super example has five cast brass coat hooks riveted to a thick leather collar with a strap and buckle for mounting. The hooks have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the leather is good and strong and will fit up to 4" diam tent post. All is complete and in good and working order.

This very unusual example has twin flared and curved trumpet horns with a single mouthpiece and a ring for a lanyard mount, one flared end is stamped "D.R.G.M" and 'Signal' with an arrow through its logo. Original, quality, late 19th century, circular shaped military hat tin in the original bronzed and patterned paintwork andwith a wire carry handle to the hinged lid. The interior has most of its original bronzed finish. The front of the tin has a hasp fitting to take a padlock and the lid has a shield shaped brass nameplate for the supplier "Hawkes and Co Ltd 1 Savile Row London W". The lid has an owner's detail painted in white letters detailing "L.F Close K.S.L.I". Generally complete and in good shape, but with a few dents and rubbing to the paintwork.

Original, quality 1920's brass water jug of a super shape and fashioned using a First World War brass shell case base for the base of the jug. I am not sure that the rest of the jug is 'trench art' but who knows,? All is complete and in good and working order with a hinged cover, a handle to the rear and a good pouring lip. The shell case underside is impressed 1918 June; and other numbers. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality small brass shoe horn with a hanging hole to the top and punch trench art decorated to both sides. To the upper "January 1941" with a Scottish thistle and horses head and to the reverse a horseshoe, "good luck" and "J. Wicks". This originally belonged to a member of the family of Wicks the Saddler of Lambourne Wilts. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Sgt. Pain 62702 1914 Tin M111
Original, quality 1914 Princess Mary box. For general History and Information for these tins refer to code M37 in Militaria section. This particular tin was engraved by or for the original recipient and his / her details were engraved to the front "62702 Sgt Pain V' F' R.H.A". The inside of the lid was also detailed in Indian ink for the battles presumably this soldier took part in "Mons, Marne, Aisne, Ypres Festuburt, Neure Chapple, Loos & Somme". This is a very unusual example of the gifted 1914 tin and the first we have seen engraved to the original recipient. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and in good order. Included with this tin is a photocopy of the WW1 Medal Rolls List referring to the same Sgt Pain.

1st World War Death Plaque in Frame M77
Original, quality, bronze medallion as issued to the next of kin of all members of the British Troops killed in action during the 1st World War 1914 to 1918, often referred to as a 'Death Penny'. This example was awarded posthumously to Christopher Rowland and is embossed around the outer edges "He died for freedom and honour" and is mounted in a bronze finished frame in the shape of the Maltese Cross which has an embossed laurel wreath with a ribbon depicting the years of the war. The reverse is detailed for the maker of the frame "Wright and Son, Edgware, Middx England" and with the registration number for the year 1921. The original document issued with the plaque for Private Christopher Rowland, Northumberland, Fusiliers is included as is the document tube. All is complete and in good order.

1914 Princess Mary Brass Box, 6 available, M37
Original, quality pressed brass tin with an embossed hinged lid bearing a cameo of Princess Mary, two 'M' monograms and panels around it with the names of countries allied to Great Britain in the 1st World War; Belgium, Japan, Russia, Monte Negro, Sierra and France. Complete and in good order. These brass tins, containing a variety of items dependant on the recipient, were given to all British troops serving overseas for Christmas 1914. The funds for these were raised by Princess Mary, daughter of King George V. Most but not all of the tins were issued with a pack of cigarettes, a pack of tobacco, a Christmas card in an envelope, a printed photo. of Princess Mary and a silver tipped brass shell case with a pencil inside. All items were marked with the monogram 'M' with a crown over. Polished and lacquered. This tin is without contents.

The curved cast aluminium badge is embossed "113 Special Constable" and is looped through with the horizontal blue striped on white canvas armband. This was worn on the lower sleeve when on war duty. These are the first we have seen of this type of trench art objects and exciting to find.

"B & M" with a flower stem between and "Obus Anplais", all above a picture in fine detail of a cannon, two shells and a crude aeroplane in flight. The underside is stamped "18pr, Lot 5184, VSM, CF" and "1918". Most unusual picture and text, the first we have seen with an aeroplane. Complete and in good order.
